Calico CrittersTown Fashion Showcase Set

My children love the Calico Critters. They now have a small village worth, and they will periodically play with them for hours at a time. Then, after a week or so, they move on to something else, but eventually come back around to their critter town. The figures themselves are very well built, with great details. My kids routinely request additional figures to add to their collection, and I have learned that if I want some extended alone time with my husband, just give them a new set of figurines and my husband and I can also play uninterrupted for hours :-)

I have bought many, many Calico Critters or Sylvanian Families sets for my 4 grandchildren ages 3-6. They love playing with them. With the sets that come with tiny pieces, I take away half so when one goes missing there is one to spare. With the Cosmetic Beauty Set I took four bottles away and attached the other four with double backed tape. I did the same with the make up brush. The little fingers pick them up easily and put them back. We’ve not lost the brush and maybe only one bottle. This works for the supermarket shelves, the Doctors office, etc. Silverware is tricky, but we haven’t run out yet.

As with all calico critters products, this was expensive for teeny tiny pieces. I thought the vanity was so beautiful though I just had to have it for our calico critters mansion. I used candlestick adhesive to lightly secure the bottles into place on the set because, if you do not, they are so tiny they fall right over and are very difficult to place. This peace really adds a lot to the bedroom and I love posing the characters doing their makeup and getting ready for the day with my daughter.

LOVE this little red couch set – will save the tiny pieces for when my granddaughters are older tho. I got this to outfit the Grand Department shops, as well as some other furniture and critters that called to me – to play with my granddaughters when they visit. It’s all on a coffee table in my neo-Victorian parlor.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter who is obsessed with these. I cannot wait until Christmas morning when she opens up the 20 sets we got for her from Amazon. Great selection and the prices are better than buying at Walmart!

This set is more attractive in person. I thought the gold looked cheap online, but out of the package it’s really a cute set.My only complaint is with the hang bar on the clothing rack. It isn’t metal and doesn’t run the length of rack like it did on pervious versions of similar sets. It is still cute and holds 2-3 dresses, but you couldn’t really add more hangers to it.

Very intricate miniature. Very lovely addition to the Critters' cottage. Would like it better if some pieces didn't need self-application of stickers for certain detailing, as not everyone has the best sticker-placing abilities, but that is a personal opinion. Otherwise I am sure any would adore.

I gather there is debate about the brand, but my grandchild and I had hours of fun playing with these. I think I have gotten her several “kits” and she loves them. That’s all that matters to me. They held up fine and were incredibly cute.

Muy divertido, bien hecho los detalles, las figuras de muy buena calidad, mucha variedad para hacer una buena colección y a las niñas les fascina

Es un juguete muy bonito, pero como tiene piezas muy pequeñas no lo recomiendo para niños menores de 7-8 años.
