Mektron Plastic Hard Shell Case & Dust Plug & Keyboard Cover Only Compatible Old MacBook Pro 13 inch (Model:A1278,with CD-ROM,NO Touch bar)(Release 2008-2012)(Plum Blossom)

Best thing about this case is the fact that it doesn't make a cracking noise when you open your laptop like the last (more expensive!) one I had. While I did decide to use the keyboard cover, I do not like it as well as my Moshi one because the cover is thicker and the keyboard backlighting does not show through. And the baggy of port pluggers is just silly - no one would ever be able to keep track of them (especially at school) and who wants to carry the baggy around for storing?! Mektron should just sell the case without the "free" extras which aren't really free, and lower the price of the case. Nice design choices, though it's pretty obvious that there's one company making all the cases as most of the sellers have the exact same choices.

I purchased a case made of the same material (or at least it seems to be the same) just over two years ago and it was time to replace it because there were a few cracks and the keyboard cover was beginning to stretch. After much deliberation, I finally decided on this one. I don't know if there are different batches, but the colors on mine are as vibrant as the photos and I just love all the colors!As for the durability, I would imagine it will be similar to my previous cover and I will eventually need to replace it, but understand that this type of cover is primarily intended to make your MacBook pretty and keep it from getting surface scratches, not protect it from drops. Upon removal of the old cover, I found that it was still in perfect condition and I suspect that this cover will provide the same protection. I think the letters line up on the keyboard cover better than the other, so I am happy with that. I will try to remember to provide an update after using it for a while.

The outside cover is great the keyboard cover is cheaply made. I’ve been using keyboard covers like this for 10yrs or so. I’ve never had one begin to buckle and stretch out of shape with two months before. It’s pretty no doubt. But I will be lucky to get a year use before it tests on the home row. I’ve had the one for my computer for five years and it’s just now showing a slight tear that’s with hours of daily use.

The top and bottom parts of the case are great, in terms of the print quality and sturdiness. The installation was fairly easy, but I've typically had issues with putting on AirMac cases; haven't discovered one that was completely "easy" yet to install. This one was probably the "easiest" case to put on. The little rubber covers for the headphone jack, the battery jack, and all the other outlets were not so good, however. They easily pop out. I've lost almost all of them within the first few days of having them in. But overall, I'd recommend this case, besides the small rubber covers.

I can be a bit hard on the keyboard. The purple keyboard cover is perfect for my daily usage. Easy to clean. Just lift the keyboard cover and shake. I love the color. True to the photo. I like how it makes my laptop stand on it's own.

I have received the items on time, packed securely-no damage or scratches- very clean and lovely. 1st I was surprised when other reviews said the color is not bright but it is exactly the same from the photo they advertise. I love everything the hard case - I didn't have any problem putting it and it fits perfectly. The dust plug is beautiful as well love the color combination of the 3 in 1 items..my only issue is the keyboard- since I bought my laptop in Europe I have the Euro English keyboard and the one got now is the English one. So there are 2 keys that is not the same. I contacted the seller and with no problem they said they will send me another keypad which is the Eu English one without any hesitation and no hassle (I'm not sending back the whole item to change a new one but they will send me the perfect keypad)And oh they response so quick! I highly recommend I will be buying more items from this seller.Thank you for the awesome customer service
