From the Norwegian woman I sat next to on a plane, to my friend who's now taken it upon himself to share it with as many people as possible, I've seen this story make a true difference in people's lives.No sentence is wasted in this story. Don't let the number of words in this book fool you; it is loaded with life lessons, and the single, most important one of them all - how precious the present really is.Coming back to living in the present, instead of drifting into the future or past is something that I'm constantly striving for. This story helps me get there. It helps me get to a place of gratitude and love for life. Being conscious of everything going on around me allows me to be in control, and brings out the best in me and others.I'm on my way to buying a hundred used copies of this book, and I don't plan on stopping when I get there. I bought this for myself, and have given it as gifts to everyone I care about. It gets reread every year as part of my New Years life review/resolutions. It’s all about perspective.

The Precious Present is a wonderful storywritten in a lovely parable format that makes a great gift. I've given many copies to family and friends. A grandparent's dream for reading to the grandkids.And The Precious Present is such a joy compared to the repackaged and cumbersom The Present which added an unnecessary introduction, prelude and epilogue in an unattractive, clumsy format.

I am not sure how I feel about this book. Nobody, including me, will tell you what is inside of it. It is a mystery. It was recommended to me by my bank president~~~! He got his from his father. It has a very good message it, and I think that is why so many people have it, reread it, and give it as a gift. The thing that is a mystery, is why the high price!!!! Some things just cannot be explained. But, I have it, I got the message, and who knows if it is worth the money or not!!! I guess you will just have to take a chance and see what happens! I think the message sort of has to grow on ya, which gives the book its value.

This is literally the fastest read that will change your life forever. Such a wonderful book.

This is a short simple book to read yourself and a great gift to send to someone who might be suffering from depression or someone who is always looking for something better in life. There are many people out there that are just never happy. This book may spark something and head them in a better direction. There should be a sequel that gives more direction on living and appreciating the "present" we are living in now.

A great one to share with your adult grandchildren and friends.

Love this book. It is so simple yet has this incredible story about being present. The past is the past and the future who knows what it holds. So it is the present we have and the book has this lovely little story on how to live in the present.I recommend this book to many people as I love its simplicity in living life fully.
