I've tried a lot of vegan date bars and these are some of the better ones I've tried. If you're new to date bars, understand that date bars are going to be a bit different. A lot of times, the date is really heavy but these achieve a nice balance of flavor with the date. I really enjoy the flavors in this variety pack and the chocolate peanut butter was my favorite! The texture is very similar to other date + nut bars I've tried - basically chewy fruit-ish flavor surrounding a nut - it's hard to describe but it's different from other textures. These aren't for everyone! I do wish they had less sugar.

These arrived yesterday and I’ve already finished them. I was looking for something paleo and vegan. This fit the bill. They are comparable to Lara bars, which I think have a better texture, but these don’t have cane sugar as some Lara ones do. They were pretty good and I was surprised about the apple cinnamon one, I don’t know if I’d order again though, they’re not super amazing, but being someone who has a lot of dietary restrictions it was nice to have this to eat. For $2 per bar I feel like Lara bars are better. I ate these in two days so that says something :) They’re good. But only the dates are organic. The rest of the ingredients are not.

Ok. I’m a meat eater and I love sugar no substitutes. I was worried about changing my snack habits with healthier snacks and I thought “ why not these”. They’re vegan and I always think ew. My first one was apple cinnamon and my mind went ew but my mouth said yum. This isn’t terrible. It’s actually really good. I was rather impressed. I was worried they’d be all nuts and hard to eat too but nope. They were soft and easy to chew. I’m ordering more and changing my snack habits. I’m thinking of trying other products now just to see. They’ve encouraged me to eat healthier so yeah I’d say they are worth it. Came on time and in good shape. The variety pack is an awesome choice and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the collection. One of these in cranberry would be awesome.

Freedom bars have changed the game for me when it comes to quality snacking. I’ve spent years searching for a snack that has no added sugar, weird oils, fillers, preservatives, etc but is still satisfying and not lacking in taste and that’s EXACTLY what these are. I love the minimal ingredients and that I can SEE and pronounce every single one of them. I will never stop eating freedom bars! Also obsessed with the raisin almond flavor!

This is one of the best bars I’ve ever had! The texture is better than a Larabar and RX bar. I have UC and these didn’t hurt my stomach at all. The variety pack is the way to go since you can figure out which is your favorite. The apple cinnamon is my jam but the chocolate ones are great to satisfy your sweet tooth. Great for throwing in your bag for a snack!

I really really enjoy these bars! They remind me a lot of rxbars, but without the egg whites. Flavor is delicious, the texture is very yummy, and it's not "dense" like some bars can be. Very easy to eat with minimal ingredients that even the most sensitive bellies can handle. As someone who likes to have a pre-workout snacks that's carb heavy, this is the best snack for runners of heavy lifters. Definitely worth a purchase! :)

I've been trying all sorts of 'easy portable' vegan food for travel. I got the variety pack of Freedom Bars and tried each. These were extremely mushy (think "rotten fruit") and had chunks of nuts in them- a VERY odd texture choice to come up with- the soft part too soft (and cloyingly sweet in EVERY flavor) and the chopped nut part, no nut big enough to be a satisfying crunch, but all of them small enough to get caught in your teeth without even the fun crunch. (Why did they opt for this instead of whole or half nuts? Why so unpleasantly wet and sticky??)Flavor- I've eaten a lot of exotic food, I like a lot of vegetables, spices etc. But in each flavor bar, they were all just- very imbalanced. (I honestly had a hard time keeping the ones with cinnamon down. Cinnamon is a very strong spice if you use the fresh bark. It can be very peppery and the array of chemicals in fresh ground bark can even be nauseating.) There was no balance to the flavors, and they didnt blend well. It was a parade of exaggerated flavors in an overly-sweet background, with some 'too much, and too fresh' spices thrown in.For the money you'd be SO much better off buying your favorite dry or dehydrated fruit and nuts that you like, rather than paying Freedom Bar to take those same things, make them too sweet, make the texture soggy and chippy, and throw the flavors out of balance and add ill thought out spices.

These are good and convienent and the price is in line with similar bars. I tend to switch around to get variety. I do really like Kate's real food granola bars which are a lighter texture then these and most other vegan bars. Health warrior chia bars are near the top of my list but are also dense like freedom bars and RXbars. so Freedom are worth buying and i will buy again.

These are really tasty and full of good ingredients. My only issue was that I ordered them in variety pack but received all peanut butter instead. I just wish they’d pay attention to detail.

I ordered a variety pack of these bars and received all peanut butter. I selected variety pack for a reason. The taste is okay, but I find them to be very "oily".

I liked the fact that they were exactly as advertised. No hidden ingredients which I couldn’t pronounce. I have also frozen some of them and that has not made a difference to the texture or flavour.

Only comes as 6 bars so picture is correct but description is not.

Pretty expensive for the size of bars and not very tasty
