Exactly what I expected.
The TC-5 probe is exactly what I expected. It is well constructed and the probe is flexible enough to bend it into the shape I needed without any problem. The coiled cord is long and very flexible, so I won't be needing an extension. I haven't checked the calibration by any precision method, but it appears to be accurate over the range of room temperature to 185F (I can only check against other probes and it agrees to within a degree).
