my annual purchase
I am a proud homeschool mom, and have gotten this lesson planner for years now. This year I only needed one (sob!) as the older kiddos are in or have graduated from college. So, yeah, it's for a 16 yo, but it's still our favorite. My daughters and I have a running joke about just who it is on the cover (probably them!). Inside is where we love it.Ninety-six pages begin with: contents, ways to use this book, seating chart, student roster, etc. The planning pages begin on page 16, so 80 or so of those. It is missing many of the unnecessary classroom pages homeschoolers don't really need, (with the possible exception of grades, which I keep in a separate book, and on the computer. We tried lesson plans on the PC, but prefer this book...merely our preference. The spaces are nice and large, allowing for plans and notes from your student, and the price is beyond right. It's made for elementary aged kiddos, obviously, but works just fine for high school, as well. The spaces are not lined, which may or may not be your thing. I, personally have no problem with it. It's done in a weekly, 2 page graph style format, so each week is open before you without needing to turn a page to see the entire thing. There are seven spaces given per day, but classes like PE, art, and music could be doubled (or tripled) up if you have electives like a foreign language to add.One of the necessary evils of homeschooling, this lesson planner makes the whole thing more pleasant for teacher and student. And you can lie awake at night trying to figure our who IS in charge. ;)

The ONLY Lesson Plan Book To Get
I have used this exact lesson plan book for the last 11 years and just purchased 2 for my next two years. It is absolutely perfect for elementary school as the squares are large enough to do your plans, as well as accommodate the changes that occur on a daily basis. I have yet to see any other plan book that fits a teacher's needs. Amazon is the only place I have been able to find it and I hope they continue to stock this item. I also purchase the "Okay, I'm in Charge Here" Record book and it is just as terrific. Mary Engelbreit hit this one out of the ball park.

Not what I expected.
I like the front cover but that was about it. I was expecting more of her art work inside, like one each month. Maybe some of her inspirational quotes. Nope. Usually in teacher planners, they have a monthly calendar before the planning pages by week. Not this one. A bit of a disappointment. I’m going to get another planner because this one won’t be helpful.

Happy Teacher
Very pretty. Lots of space for lesson notes. I love the theme! The pages are not thick enough to write in pen without it bleeding through.
