fantastic!
I've been doing the low carb thing for years now... And occasionally I'll still get a hankerin' for bread. Unfortunately, most of the bread-like things that are acceptable on a low-carb diet aren't very tasty. I'm happy to say that's not the case with the Great Low Carb Bread Co. This Plain bread tasts just like bread. It isn't some fluffy, white Wonder Bread... Visually - it looks more like one of the generic, brown, "wheat" breads you'll see on grocery store shelves. It's tan in color, and you can see bits of fiber in the bread. As far as the texture and taste go - it's more like the "artisan" bread you can get at most grocery stores. It's fairly crusty; and it's got a nice, chewy texture. And it tastes basically like plain/wheat bread. It doesn't taste especially nutty or grainy. It's got a nice, neutral, slightly-sweet taste. It makes a great sandwich. It also behaves just like you'd expect bread to in the toaster or on the griddle... Makes perfectly good toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, and french toast. Honestly, if I didn't know better, I'd never guess it was low-carb. You'll definitely want to freeze your bread as soon as it arrives - this stuff doesn't keep long when it's left at room temperature. Also, check out the website - http://www.greatlowcarb.com/ It's a little dated, and the store section is somewhat clunky to navigate... But they've got a wide selection of baked goods there: breads, bagels, buns, and rolls. And if you're buying larger quantities, it gets cheaper.

WARNING This bread may raise your blood sugar
Here is a full report on this bread . At 2:34pm, I ate one slice of white and one slice of rye at the same time according to the product label that would equal 2 net carbs. Here is the break down after 2 hours .... Time- 2:34pm - glucose reading 89 Time- 3:14pm- glucose reading 106 Time- 3:35pm- glucose reading 116 Time 3:47pm - glucose reading 110 Time 4:10pm- glucose reading 99 Time 4:43pm - glucose reading 87 As you can see, there is a 27 point glucose spike after one hour. Not very good for a product that has only 2 net carbs.

Arrived with postage due!
I found the product delicious. It arrived, however, with postage due roughly $4.50. That was disappointing.

Good bread- high shipping.
This bread is quite good if you toast it, which I am fine with. We just keep it in the freezer and toast it whenever we want some. Sadly, the shipping costs are exorbitant, so I can’t afford to get it very often. 😢 However, if you are on a low-carb diet for any reason, I can tell you that this bread did not cause my sugar to go up at ALL, so it really IS carb free, (or very close to it.) Good product if you can afford the shipping. 👍🙂

Great alternative to regular bread!
Positives: [+] Tastes very (very) good (almost a very slight 'rye' taste, but not strong if you dislike rye) [+] Low carb [+] Toasts quite well (don't put it on too long) Neutral: [*] Feels 'drier' than other bread, but fills up stomach better. (I suspect from the fiber content) Negatives: [-] Toasting too long (dark setting on toaster) will dry this out too much. You'll need to dial your toaster back a little bit if you want to preserve any moisture

I did not like this bread
I did not like this bread. That being said, it is the first low-carb bread I've ever tried. To me, it had minimal taste but also made the whole sandwich taste weird. And it's hard to make a grilled cheese that isn't good! The bread also seemed really moist for some reason. And it's too expensive.

LOVE!!! (except the price)
This is the BEST low carb bread out there. No joke this stuff is so similar to "regular" bread that you may not even notice a difference. Looks, feels, tastes, and smells like real bread. I was so happy to find this. My only complaint is that the shipping price is so high that I can't afford to buy this regularly - I'll to save up for splurges ($10 is too much shipping when the bread is over $7)

Expensive, tasteless, porous, disappointing.
Quite expensive for what you get. Rather tasteless, extremely porous bread which leaks through easily. Slices are also rather small compared to most grocery bread. Very disappointing. I have been much happier with Low Carb Hamburger Rolls from LC Foods. You get a lot more for your money, and the bread is better in every way.
