Body Sculpture Rowing Machine - Orange

This item was ordered on Sat and arrived 11am Monday, total price inc delivery about £134. Item was well packaged and instructions for construction easy to follow and amount of construction was no more than expected. All necessary tools were provided, although I preferred to use my socket set for tightening bolts. The movement of this magnetic rower is pretty quiet, the noisiest thing being the travel of the seat up and down the rail which I might try to overcome with better lubrication. But not a problem watching TV etc. It doesn't take up much room, and we'll probably keep it in the living room for now. It contains a removable pin that acts as a safety device to stop the folded mechanism from falling open, and a couple of small wheels to help drag the thing around. It's not too heavy once put together. The exercise computer bit is activated by the movement of the seat passing a sensor on the rail and calory information can only be considered an estimate, however for the money its OK, and you might only need to monitor how long you've been on the thing, as it does have a timer. Note it has a range of 5 increments for tension, the lowest is not bad just for basic cardio exercise, have not gone on to higher numbers just yet, but feels like tension will be adequate for anything I'm planning. I think this will provide adequate exercise for me, my wife and my teenage children. Having studied the market for a week or so before buying this, I think it represents very good value for money. No feedback on reliability yet as so new, but the fit and finish seem pretty good.

There was a slight delay in this rowing machine being delivered, but it eventually turned up. Easy to put together, took me about half an hour on my own, all tools are provided in the box so that was nice. Easy to use, has variable resistance, can exercise just legs, or just arms, or both legs and arms. Seems to be made from quality materials. This item is heavy when assembled but is fairly easy to move around, it has two small wheels on base. The folding mechanism is a bit fiddly, you have to pull out a metal pin to fold which is easy, but putting the pin back in to use the machine is the fiddly bit, the holes have to line up exactly or the pin is hard to insert. I have now resorted to just leaving the machine fully assembled and do not fold it anymore. If you stand it on its end up against a wall (as I now do) it doesn't take up much more room than when its folded. Gives you a very good workout. The computer has several functions, although the instructions are a bit vague, so have not yet figured out exactly what they all do? When in use the seat can make bit of noise, not sure whether to oil or grease the rollers? The seat padding is a bit thin and looks like it will flatten fairly soon. The foot rests are a bit plasticky, for £200 I would have expected better, this bit lets it down slightly. All in all a good product and so far it is working well. Not quite five stars though due to the little niggly items noted. I thought about giving this three stars but IMHO it is better than that, hence the four stars, if they could sort out the niggles it would be great. 8-)

Fairly decent rowing machine. I don't have much experience with rowing machines but this seemed to work well. Was very easy to construct. I did it by myself in my lunch hour. The tools all come with it, which I thought was excellent. I've kept them and still use them regularly. The instructions were easy to follow and it was up and running in no time. The build is expected with the price really. It's decent enough. The strength of the actual pulley system is what's expected as well. It's enough for me, but I'm not strength training. Just casual light exercise. The feet are fairly terrible. I wouldn't suggest using it on carpet. Maybe try to weigh the feet down with something or stick them to the floor somehow as the rower can move forward and backward when rowing fairly intensely. I left the rower un-used for a few months recently and this seems to have caused problems with the on-board computer. It stopped logging when I did a single stroke, and then counted single strokes as two strokes. Eventually it began working again but has since broken again. Another gripe is the computer doesn't do length, just time and stroke count. But it is a low-end budget rower so you get what you pay for. All in all it's ok for light exercise. If you're serious, I'd probably recommend forking out a bit more for a higher budget model, but this is good for every now and then. Packs up neatly as well.

Been into my home gym workouts now for a while been using a cross trainer and bike so thought I would invest in a rowing machine bought at a reasonable price, as I loved going on this when I was at school I've been going on it everyday for around 30 mins at a time it's great, was easy enough to assemble and also take down when needed, seat is really comfortable and a lovely smooth pull on the bar just what you need, by the way lost 4 and half stone using this for 30 mins 4 days a week

I bought this rower even though the reviews were mixed thinking that someone will always complain even when something is pretty good. From the start the resistance mechanism was jerky and made strange noises, not instilling confidence. After five months of light use the mechanism broke and would not rewind. I contacted Amazon and they supplied a replacement. After six months of even lighter use this one as now also ceased to operate with the same fault. It as now gone in the skip! Oh, by the way, the seat is very uncomfortable and the seat rollers slowly disintegrate leaving a filthy black dust covering everything. I could go on but I'm sure you get the idea, DON'T BUY ONE.

This machine arrived very promptly and both the assembly instructions and the packaging of all the bits were above average, leading to an easy assembly. Previous reviews had led me to expect that the magnetic resistance would be on the light side, which indeed it is. If you are a fit person aiming to build strength, then get a machine that offers higher resistance. It is OK for my needs but running it on the highest resistance level all the time means I have no useful choice of resistance levels. The "computer" display is less than clear regarding the functions which are showing at the time - numbering the displays to match the instructions and labels below the display would be helpful. Folding for storage reveals a particularly bad design feature - the feeble little wire connecting the seat movement sensor to the computer. The is highly likely to get caught up in the scissor action as the two parts of the main frame come back into alignment as the machine is unfolded. At third folding occasion, in spite of progressing carefully, the wire was cut by this scissor action, so now I do not even have the benefit of the count function. The instructions contain the (misspelt)line: "NB please ensures that the sensor cables do not get trapped when tilting the mainframe bar in towards the main housing." However, as the sections close together, the position of the wire cannot be seen from above the machine, as the instructions show the machine facing downwards during this process. To obey the instruction given above you would need to either: 1. risk losing your finger ends by feeling the position of the wire as the sections close together - I certainly do NOT recommend this!!! 2. tip the machine on its side or upside down, so you can see the position of the wire as the sections close together. I do NOT recommend this either, as this could damage parts not designed to carry the weight of the machine, plus it could topple during the process. What I do recommend is that the manufacturer applies a great deal more design attention both to the positioning and the specification of this wire. Before repairing this wire I intend to replace the vulnerable section with something far better than the cheap and nasty bell wire used by the manufacturer. It would also be advisable to have some flexible metal or strong plastic sheathing protecting the wire near the joint, making it far less likely to get caught in the closing part of the mechanism.

We have had this rowing machine a couple of months now and both my husband and I agree it's a good buy. It folders up for easy storage, it's easy to use and a great workout tool i'd recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one. Easy to initially set up, we are quite pleased.

This is a very sturdy machine which is very stable in use. It has various levels of resistance which is particularly useful if you are a novice at rowing, or if other members of the family use it. The gauges are clear and easy to read and the seat is comfortable. A surprisingly good bit of kit for home use - almost as good as a professional one.

El montaje son apenas 6 pasos, ya que en su mayoría ya viene montado, y las piezas se nota que son fiables y robustas, ya que no da la sensación de ser una estructura frágil. Para nivel doméstico lo veo muy completo, y de momento funciona a la perfección, espero que siga así mucho tiempo. Saludos! =)

Der Magnetmechanismus funktionierte mit viel zu wenig Kraft. Das Training war somit nutzlos. Leider zurückgesendet. Dies funktionierte perfekt und die Gutschrift sehr zügig. Dafür gäbe es fünf Sterne.

fabrication de qualité très moyenne (fait en Chine); l'objet est arrivé avec la coque fendue. Je verrai à l'usage si il tient le coup !

Cumple con sus funciones perfectamente, quizás le falta un grado de fuerza, tiene de 1 a 5 y normalmente lo tengo siempre en el 5 y noto que le falta, con la maquina anterior que tenia no pasaba del 4. Sin embargo se compensa por su precio. He tenido un inconveniente a la hora de montarla, el diseño de la carcasa no es correcto y para poder montar los pedales reposa-pies tuve que cortar uno de los topes de plástico en dos, el tope que separa el pedal de la maquina. La carcasa tiene mal situado los agujeros para el paso del tubo y los topes no llegan a donde deben, lo que hace que el tubo sea "corto".
