A quality dog belt / leash for running and beyond, I definitely recommend it.
UPDATE:After just over a year of use the buckle used for tightening the waistband developed a crack (see picture). I contacted the company via their website and they sent me a new waistband nearly free of charge (I had to pay a $7 shipping fee). Aside from this minor issue the rest of the leash is still holding up great after using it 3-4 times a week for over a year. I still recommend it, especially since the company appears backup their product with excellent customer service.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I'm a 6' runner whose been using it for my 2 year old 50 lb lab mix on our ~5 km runs 3-4 times a week for the past two months. My dog is not a big puller and is generally responsive to verbal commands, but is not what I could consider a perfectly trained dog. I've attached the leash both directly on my dog's collar and a little further down her back with a harness that we sometimes put on. The harness position works a little better for her. Encounters that we have tested this leash with include other people, other dogs, squirrels, deer, rabbits, and cars. In every situation I've been able to get the dog under control and have never been pulled off balance thanks to the strong elastic. In terms of my running, it has been exceptionally helpful to keep my form unaffected when I'm running with her. Prior to this belt, I was developing some hip and knee issues which I think was related to changes in how I swung my arms and my foot strike with a traditional non elastic leash in hand. I've not had any issues since switching to this belt/leash and nothing else has changed. The material, stitching, elastic, metal hooks, metal loops, and buckles are of good quality and have been holding up very well. I've not noticed any loose stitching or fraying and the elastic is holding up without any sign of stretching thus far. The pockets are large enough to fit my 5.2" phone, doggy bags, and anything else I happen to need that day. I've not used it in the rain so I can't comment on how well it keeps the contents dry. The zippers have worked well and without issue, but they do seem to be the weakest part of this belt in terms of the quality of the material used. This is not a major concern in my mind.

This is the only leash I use for walks now!
I was hesitant to buy this because I have an 80lbs Catahoula, he is sometimes good on a leash but is reactive to small animals and other dogs and lunges. It's so nice though! I don't have to worry about him getting away and darting into traffic, and the elastic part takes a lot of the pull away. All this with no hands! It's also nice if you take them into an urban setting or take your dog shopping. The only downside is when he greets other dogs I can sometimes get tangled up in the process lol.The pockets are big enough for poop bags and some credit cards, but not big enough to fit my phone. I did find a strap that adds about a foot to the lead to keep my and my pup from stepping on each other, though it wouldn't be an issue with smaller dogs. The hardware seems sturdy even with my crazy pup, and there's a handhold right by the collar where I can hold him back if he makes a fuss or when we cross the street. We've even gone jogging a bit, with the added perk of some help going uphill!I think this leash is a safe and convenient option even if you have a dog that gives you some trouble, our walks are much happier now!

Not for Small Dogs
This leash is really nice - high quality materials, well made, great design, easy to use. It would be perfect for taking your four-legged buddy with you while hiking or running. It would be extremely convenient to keep your pup with you and under your control, without any effort. The convenience is exceptional and the two handles on the leash part are pretty brilliant. That said, this really isn't appropriate for small dogs. You see, I have a tiny 3 lb Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound who takes off after everything...and nothing. Although she's small, the amount of power that stinker exerts is impressive - she has bolted and pulled the leash out of many unsuspecting hands. It sounds ridiculous, I know - but she is quick and strong. (Italian Greyhounds are known for their running speed and endurance.) Our city has a 10 ft leash law, and it's amazing how quickly she can reach the end of that 10 feet and when she does, it isn't unusual for the force she exerts to pull the leash out of your hand. She's done this with everyone from teenagers, to a well-respected dog trainer, to a professional dog walker. We live close to a couple of busy streets, which concerns me. After doing some research, I decided this was the answer I was looking for - I could still walk my other two on regular leashes, while walking the escape artist on this one. No worries about her bolting and pulling her leash out of anyone's hand anymore! The bungee is pretty tough - it isn't nearly as stretchy as I imagined it would be. That's the only downside I see. This is NOT made for small dogs - the bungee isn't relaxed enough to use for them. I'm around 6' and although she is taller than either of my other dogs, putting this on her means she can't go anywhere, but on my foot! If she tries to step back and get off my foot, the bungee is too short and I'm afraid it will hurt her. There is not enough slack to let her go a little ways out...and I'm not really wanting her to do her business 1" from my shoe. Which doesn't really solve my problem. If you have a dog who is large enough to successfully pull on the bungee and move it, this is an awesome product! If your dog is too small or thin to push through the resistance of the bungee, it won't work. The bungee is only long enough to keep the dog by your side - which has it's pros and cons.Bottom Line: Great product - disappointed it didn't work for my purposes. I would still highly recommend it to anyone with a larger dog.

great leash
I do not care for the waist band but the leash part works very well, handle to be able to have control quickly if another dog approaches and not too much slack that you feel like you are going to be slung shot off the ground

Great lead for running with your dog
Got this lead for my wife to run with our vizsla. The build quality is really good and she loves it. It holds her phone and poo bags easily. It can slide around when the dog moves left or right. Lead can be detached to use without the belt too.

Great Hands Free Leash
Fantastic product. Very well made, the belt doesn't loosen while I run with my mid size cockapoo dog and the clip is heavy duty and we'll made. My dog is about 28lbs, the leash might be too heavy for a dog under 20lbs. There are 2 waterproof expandable pouches, one is bigger than the other and it fits my Samsung Galaxy A50 with a case just fine. The other pouch fits the poop bags and Kleenex with room to spare. The handles on the leash are flush with the lead so it's difficult to get ahold of them quickly but I just grab the lead instead and it's fine. I have owned dogs most of my life and wish I had gotten this years ago, well worth it to be hands free!
