I have a 3 y.o. mixed terrier which I adopted from a shelter when he was just a little pup. My lil boy has serious allergies. He constantly scratches himself, bites/licks his feet, & scratches his skin. Absolute nightmare. It got so bad that he was injuring himself and bleeding. I was scared out of my mind and took him to the vet. Vet prescribed Apoquel and it seemed to do the job until I dug deeper into that med's long term effects. If you plan to put your dog on that med, please reconsider. After my dog was on the med for 5 ish months and having previously tried allergy chews, changed food many times, I wanted something more natural for my dog. Colostrum came up several times in my research. So I decided to buy this bottle because it had great reviews, from antibiotic free cows and the quantity served as a plus (120 tablets!).The tablets are big and scored. They're easy to break into quarters or can be easily given to the dog. Mine knows what is "medicine" and what is not. So I break the tablet into quarters and mix with his food. He eats it right up. I can say since being off of vet meds and being on colostrum, my dog's allergies have improved A LOT. His paws are less red, inflamed and itchy. He licks them so much less now than before. I have seen a reduction in red patches in his ears and inflamed areas on his stomach. It's not an instant miracle worker and definitely takes time & patience. I'd say it's worth it because you never know what the big (dog) pharma can actually do to your dog. My little guy is not suffering as much as he did before and will continue to give this to him every day. For reference he's been taking 1 tablet daily for breakfast or dinner mixed with his food. Research what colostrum can do for your dog. It's not specifically for allergies but has a wide variety of uses and is filled with antioxidants for doggies.

My rescue is a genetic nightmare Boston terrier. He is allergic to everything under the sun and his skin is raw and itchy without his apoquel. We have tried diet changes and topical...but apoquel was our only answer for a year. He needed a refill so I started looking for a natural alternative. I found bovine colostrum and figured I had nothing to lose. His vet refilled his meds but closed before I could pick up. I got this on Sat and it's Sunday...he has done fantastic without the vet meds so far. Usually after 24 hours he is scratching to the point of madness but he is comfy. He is also not passing gas as much...bonus. if things change I will update my review but so far it works

Seem to work well, took a star off for the fact that they are hard as a rock. I have to put them in hot water to even break them apart some for her not to break a tooth.,

This product absolutely adds healthiness to a litter of pups. Start giving tablets at about 1month before pups due. And then until about the pups are 4weeks old.

My Shih Poo has had allergies for years and takes medication for it everyday. I was hoping this would help him so I could cut back on giving him Apoquel everyday. Well, this had the opposite affect. His paws became very red and he developed red tear stains. So I cannot recommend this product for others but those who do get results consider yourselves lucky. I stopped using this product after 5 days when I saw what it was doing to my poor dog.

I bought these bovine colostrum for dogs tablets hoping they would help alleviate my dog's allergies. Well, they most definitely have delivered. My dog gets Zyrtec daily, yet his eyes would still be filled with water. I observed an improvement on the first day I gave Nutrition Strength's colostrum supplement to him. Then 4 days later, his eyes were already looking much more normal. The tear stains remain for now, but I am certain that they will go away, because the hair will shed in time.My dog loves the taste of these tablets, so we don't have to hide them or do other things to trick him to take them. In fact, he would look for more of them.I wouldn't be surprised at all if more health benefits appear as time goes on, in fact I expect them as my dog looks much healthier now. I highly recommend this supplement.

Cost is better than the Vet. prescribed med & works just as well.
