The threaded holes on the spindle do not marry up with the holes on the dryer drum. There is a difference of 3-4 mills which makes it impossible to screw the replacement spindle onto the drum. The only way you can correct this and proceed with the repair is to drill through the holes and rivet the spindle onto the drum which requires some knowledge of riveting and of course, you need to have a hand riveter and rivets. In my case, I threw out the screws and attached a total of 6 rivets to secure the spindle to the drum. Time will tell whether this will prove to be an effective repair. So, in summary, unless you are prepared to think out of the box and consider alternative ways of attaching the spindle to the drum eg spot welding....the kit provided on it's own is unfit for purpose. Finally, the replacement bearings are very thin and of poorer quality than the original.

Absolutely Rubbish!The Tear Drop Bearing lasted about 4 weeks!

Unfortunately the spindle broke off the plate after about a week. Not sure if it was just poor welding on the piece or something to do with my machine. I had done the same job before on a previous dryer and it lasted fine- so don’t think it was anything o did. Unfortunately couldn’t recommend.

Lasted less than 2 weeks before required replacing again!

Great product and very cheap, also better than the original genuine product. I bought 2 from a local dealer for £13.99 each. Rip of as they were genuine hotpoint parts. Rant over.

Abit of a pain to do but once done works great saves buying new dryer , make sure this part is same as your own one as there are 2 different styles .

These bits fitted my Indesit IDC8T3. The black skids are a bit fiddly to get in without moving the front cover forwards off the drum, but it is possible.

Really simple to install. Dryer like new. Well worth the money. Didn't fit the pads though. Don't know where they go.
