Garelick/Eez-In 71091:01 Aluminum Auxiliary Motor Bracket for 4 Stroke Motors

A bit hard to press down if your OB motor isn't very heavy, but quite substantial, we mounted it with white polyethelene backing and facing boards. seems to get a bit of light corrosion quite easily, seems to stay steady in rought water. I have flat transom so mounting was relatively easy.Recommend if you have a 4 stroke or large 2stroke kicker because it doesent flex like the center arm style brackets. costa bit more but probably one of the better commercial models out there. range of motion excellent.

As of right now I can only give it one star. When received it seemed very sturdy and of quality materials. I installed it per the instructions and mounted my Nissan 9.8 electric start. When I went to lower the mount I heard a loud pop. One of the spring arms was too short and spun around passed the stop and took a nice chunk of gel coat off my boat. It seems one arm on one spring is significantly shorter than the others allowing it to slip over the stopping bolt. When I raised it back up it slips back into place. Other than that quality control issue, it seems very well built. I will update when Amazon rights this issue.

This is my second year using this motor mount and it is GREAT! Upgraded my sail boat motor to a new 10hp Yamaha and needed a new mount to accomodate the extra weight. This is doing every thing I hoped for.

Got this for my 14' Jon boat that I use in a small river so I could run in shallower water, rather than completely changing the motor over to a mud motor. Running it with a 9.8 fourstroke motor, the 15" movement is perfect to have it pulled fully out of the water when not in use, run with the cavitation plate just below the water, or even further down when in deeper water. The only thing I wish the description on Amazon had was the hole size for mounting it. 5/16" bolts and lock nuts ended up working perfect for it

I purchased this bracket about 45 days ago for a boat project. I wasn't quite ready for it yet - but went ahead and purchased it so I would have it when ready. The item arrived and it has been sitting in my house ever since. I opened the item today and it appears someone dropped it from a very high level and bent the bracket. The impact was so extreme that it actually dented the poly block also which is very hard to do. The bracket does not work. Unfortunately - it is over 60 days and I can't return it. This thing would have had to been dropped from a very high distance to bend the bracket the way it is. This is very thick angle metal.

Mounted this motor mount on my sailboat 2 years ago to support a Honda 9hp outboard and it works like a charm. No issues whatsoever. Relatively easy to pull motor out of the water when under sail. u

This bracket is super heavy duty. Much more than what I needed but this isn’t a complaint. I’m convinced it really can handle up to 175hp motor. No problem with 130 lb motor. However, I’m not able to easily lower it all the way down.

Kicker motor bracket works fine. I mounted a 4-stroke 15hp outboard on mine.
