Best mini fan out there.......
I had an older version of this Coleman mini fan and loved it because it wassturdy and made extremely well. I gave that one to someone who needed it thinkingI could just purchase another one. I was a little disappointed withthe materials used to make the new ones. Very cheap materials BUT it is still thebest mini fan I have found out there. This is the QUIETEST one I have found andgives the strongest air flow. I even use it in church when having hot flashes it'sso quiet. The other ones are a little loud. The blades on the new one can break off from the center but you can snap it back in if thathappens.Overall this is the best one I have found out there. If anybody finds a better one letme know. These hot flashes are killer.

Disappointed
Lasted about 2 weeks. I had bought the same Coleman fan from a hardware store about 4 years ago. Worked great and then just stopped working. I used it a lot at work. I live in New Orleans and the summers here are brutal. The hardware store didn't carry them anymore so I was very pleased to find it through Amazon. Coleman is a trusted name, but not so much we me anymore.

Little Dynamo
This little personal fan does a great job. It is powerful and effective. One criticism is the apparent fragility of the fan blades. It's difficult to store in a pocket, and there's no carrying case. While my blades remain intact, I fear they would easily break off in, say, a briefcase or purse. Also the company that supplies this item charges a flat fee for shipping which much exceeds the stated cost of the item. Other than these caveats, its a little jewel, that I'm glad to own.

Cheap but gets the job done
I have heat intolerance associated with Multiple Sclerosis and use this to cool down my food before eating. It makes it very easy for me to do. In the past, I had to have my wife blow on it, but now I can cool it down by myself. Make sure you put the batteries in the right way, or it will burn out the motor. Also, 1 drop onto the floor is all it took for me to break one of the fan blades off. It is not the highest quality, but it works well for what I need it to do.

Great while it lasted
Let me get right to the pros and cons;Pros:LightweightEasy to carryDoes what its suppose to, keeps you coolPowered by 2 AA batteriesCons:Hard cheap feeling plastic bladesBurns batteries fairly quicklyPower switch directly under bladesExplanation:Im a big guy (260lbs) and I travel to a lot of places where the heat is very unpleasant (Thailand, Philippines, Kuwait, Iraq, etc) plus on top of it I sweat like i run marathons the second i step out from the AC. I sometimes carry a towel but ive found this just pushes the sweat around more often then not so I decided to purchase a fan. I did some research, not wanting to carry around a fan that would draw a lot of attention but would still do the job. I also figured a fan at this price probably wouldnt last long, i was right. Let me say the fan worked well, it cooled me as soon as i turned it on. The motor is strong to be small but im pretty sure its just a electric shaver motor. That being said, i broke it in two wks time. Its a cheap fan, the blades are hard and will cut you if you forget about them. The connection between the blades and rotor is flimsy and after a couple of days the batteries start to wear even with light use.I would recommend this product as long as you understand you need probably need to buy more then one and that you will get what you pay for.

Very strong
Very strong for such a small fan. Easy to stick in a pocket. My sister has had one for awhile and loves hers. Warning: if you put the batteries in wrong, it will run but gives you no breeze.

Fan stopped working after less than 2 minutes
I purchased this fan for a trip in the tropics. However even though the blades turned, the fan blew no air. Basically, all it did was wirr. Nice if you like wirring noises. Not good if you want air being blown. Anyway, the fan stopped after less than two minutes of use. It did start again on a 7 second cycle. Great. A seven second wirr cyle. Still no air. I tried reversing the blades to see if that would do anything. It cooled my knuckles. This wasn't what I was looking for in a fan. I am very disappointed in Coleman. Why would they create a fan that is good for nothing but wirring and cooling knuckles?

great for about an hour then the motor burns up. waste of money
Great power for the size and worked great in the heat for one day but the motor in it quickly burned out and it was dead after a couple hours. I replaced the batteries but it still won't work.
