Granddaughter is just beginning horse riding lesson. She enjoys reading and finds the book very informative. Recommended.

Usborne claim that the features which make the book special are the 'stunning photography, detailed illustrations and clear text' and I wholeheartedly support their back-page review. The text is written in a compelling style by Rosie Dickins &Gill Harvey, sensible, direct , encouraging in every way with the greatest care taken to make every child responsive and included - and the greatest understanding of the needs of the poniesas well. The UEA printers have done a magnificent job as well.I was really delighted when I received the book well in time this morning and am sure my granddaughter will be as thrilled!

Great gift.

This is a good book for children. There are loads of pictures (photos and drawings) which encourage children to look through the book and also demonstrate the points being made. The book covers all aspects of pony care and basic riding, extending to jumping and dressage. There is a fair amount about western riding which I found a little surprising- and perhaps un necessary - as it is a completely different style of horsemanship.As an adult I found this book very appealing and know that as a pony mad child I would have loved this book, both reading it and looking at the photos and drawings.

Very well detailed book with lots of great information for my daughter to read up on about horses and horseriding. Love Usbourne books
