It’s a GREAT Companion. I have paired the Complete Polish Beginner to Intermediate Course: Learn to read, write, speak and understand to my current tools I am using to learn Polish. I use the Complete Polish: Teach Yourself to help provide explanations of grammar, endings, the different cases. A audio via online comes with the Complete Polish Beginner to Intermediate Course: Learn to read, write, speak and understand book and follows the book. This has been helpful in review and hearing pronunciations. The book uses everyday interaction to help build your form and vocabulary.

I find this course book extremely helpful and easy to follow. I had tried to "relearn" the Polish I heard growing up using Rosetta Stone and found it just did not work for me. I enrolled in a Polish class taught by a native Polish teacher. The textbook we use for that class is completely in Polish so translation of directions is necessary and done in class. I bought this book for use over the summer to reinforce what I had learned in class. This book can be used easily since it is bilingual. It is detailed in the sounds of letters in the Polish alphabet, accompanied by the audio. I find it helpful that you can relisten to any audio as many times as necessary. It is also nice that there is an answer key for the written exercises. All in all, I think this is a great aid to learning Polish.

Complete Polish is a title I find quite fitting.At time of my purchase there was a free audio download to accompany the book which enhances both my pronounciation and speed of understanding.

Awesome literature

The CD does not work seamlessly with the book. I find myself unable to from simple sentences . Words are spelled one way and spoken another. I have use of some words from my Polish/ American background but I'm unable to remember new ones. I'm stuck .

This book is definitely not worth its price. I expected it to have more material and to truly be, as described, from beginning to intermediate level. Instead it assumes one is able to learn without guidance or else that one already knows the language. Very disappointed!

Great listening / reading practice for beginners and has a ton of information. But you'll also need:-another workbook and teacher to help you practice what you learn-a dictionary to check for gender of words (not included in word lists, for some reason)-likely a second textbook to help supplement some of the gaps (the chapter on introducing yourself has the most common ways, but not all of the ways you might here)So if you use it as one of your two guiding resources it's a nice one to have on hand, but just expect to use additional things to supplement it with and use this one mainly for listening and reading practice.
