Why don't you do your own searching and Google "Fury B 7-1/4" saw", then check the specs to see if it has a 20mm arbor, then Google "7-1/4" green multipurpose blade", and when you find it, check to see that it is for a 20mm arbor. It's not hard.

Q: Will this cut 1/2 x3/4 inch hardwood without splintering the cut ends?

TL;DR - If you aren't interested in cutting metal and are only working with wood, get a miter saw. This saw has cut through anything I've thrown at it. Amazing saw. However, it is not a precision tool. This is mostly designed to eat metal and make quick cuts through anything. This saw has a lower RPM than a miter saw....which is what you probably need. You likely want a miter saw with a crosscut blade designed for hardwood with a higher TPI. Other wise you could try this and put a 2inch wide piece of masking tape over the wood and cut through the tape.

Q: Aren't metal cutting saws supposed to operate at much slower RPM"s listed...like around 1200-1500 as opposed to in the 4000's?

From what I have seen have observed. The max speed of the metal cutting blade is directly proportional to the diameter of the blade. I have a 14 " blade my rpm cant exceed 1800 rpm . I also have and 8 inch metal cutting blade max around 5000 rpm. You should always follow blade manufactures recommendations.
