Convenient and functional
Super convenient -- much easier than replacing the entire faucet and at a fraction of the price. I don't know how old the Grohe faucet was on which this part broke (I've only lived in my current home for a couple of years). For what it's worth, the replacement part seems a little less robust than the old broken one it replaced. But it installed quickly, easily, and seamlessly.

Saved our new kitchen faucet!
Bought a new Grohe kitchen faucet and the flow was so limited the sprayer would not work and it took waaaaay too long to even fill a pot with water. You couldn't even rinse the sink out the pressure was so weak. Did some research on the flow restrictor for our model and bought this coupling to replace the red coupling that restricts flow to 1.75 gpm (I think - might be 1.5?) Problem solved! The pressure is actually so strong you have to get used not turning it on all the way. You have to go under the sink to replace it because it is on the end of the hose where it connects to the body of the faucet, not up at the handle end. Once you get under there and find it, it takes about 30 seconds to replace it. It is kind of irritating that it costs what it costs since it is just a piece of plastic tubing with one threaded end and one push/pull snap connector on the other. But it saved me from years of frustration with a ridiculously low water flow.

Replace Grohe parts with Grohe parts. The cheap spinoff is a waste if time and money!
If you have a Grohe part replace it with a Grohe part. The other bootleg replacements do not fit.

Review
OEM part works great after the old one formed a crack and leaked after 25 years. I was afraid to get another brand, so i bought original. Easily installed and i expect another 25 years.

Expensive, but GOOD Grohe Quick Coupling with Pressure Limiter/Regulator
My wife & I bought a Grohe 30306DC1 Euro Smart faucet because our old kitchen sink faucet was leaky. It is a beautiful faucet that produces a water stream that is actually pleasing to the eye. The only problem is that it contains a water pressure Limiter/Regulator that reduces water flow to 1.75 GPM. It took forever to fill a pan or something larger than a glass. So I then purchased a "Chinese" Limiter/Regulator from Amazon that was only $20, but its mechanical tolerance was poor, as it was hard to Connect/Disconnect causing it to leak! Finally, I "bit the bullet" and purchased a Grohe "46138000 1/2 in. Quick Coupling" (from Amazon) for $40 (ouch), but it installed easily and works great. Maybe the best faucet we have!

If a 50 year old mom can install this, so can you.
This was a perfect fit and easy (as DIY plumbing goes) to install. There are no instructions that come with the item, but I read the other reviews and googled it to figure out how to install it. Simply put, the black end is a screw in joint. The yellow (or whatever color) end is a pull-down release/lock. To remove the broken coupling, place a basin of some sort under the sink to catch water. TURN OFF YOUR WATER VALVES UNDER THE SINK. Reach up to the coupling with both hands, hold the coupling with one hand and pull down on the colored portion with the other. This will allow the coupling to be released from metal pipe. Carefully pull the coupling away from the pipe while staying away from natural flow of water. Allow the hose and pipe to drain out into the catch basin. Unscrew the black end from the hose and dry the hose threads. If the teflon tape is eroded, remove the old one and add a new one. Teflon tape is used on many screw in joints and is easily purchased at a hardware store. Screw on the coupling, but do not over-tighten. What does that mean? It needs to be secure enough to not leak, but not so tight that it's as far as you can get it. Hand-tightening is fine. There's no need for a wrench unless you have hand strength problems. Re-attach colored end to the pipe by holding the coupling with one hand, while pulling the colored portion down as you push it onto the metal pipe. Push all the way up and release the colored portion. You should hear/feel it snap in place. Tug down on it to make sure it's secure. Voila! You are done. Remember to turn you water back on. Keep the basin in place until you've tested the installation fully. Watch for leaks. Turn on and off several times, running the water for long and short periods. Any leaks are probably from the black end not being tight enough. If the colored end is not secure, it will pop off while you are running the water. Last bit of advice, it's worth paying extra for the overnight shipping, since you are saving a ton by not calling a plumber. I first checked to see if I could find the part at a local brick and mortar supplier, but had no luck. I doubt a plumber could get it for you faster unless the company carries it on their own.

Great Replacement to Increase Flow
This was a perfect replacement for the quick coupling that was in our Grohe Ashford faucet / flexible hose. The faucet is a 2016 faucet that never flowed that great. When the faucet put out a small stream, I finally pinned it down to as blockage in the restriction valve and backflow valve which was rated at 1.75 GPM. I cleared it out with compressed air so that it was back to the original flow which was still a slow rate of flow. After replacing it with this fitting which doesn't have the restriction, we're getting great flow; it doesn't take forever to fill up a coffee pot.

teuer aber gut
Originalteil, passt perfekt, ist dicht. Der Preis ist für ein den Plastikbrocken geschmelzt, geht aber in Ordnung, wenn die Kupplung wie der Vorgänger wieder 20 Jahre hält.
