After doing way too much research I finally decided on this bag. It's nicely designed: it has tonnes of compartments and I like that when it's worn as a backpack you can't easily access most of the compartments – which makes it feel safe/secure for travelling and walking around busy cities. Worn cross body or over the shoulder it sticks out very far from the body and so wouldn't be very practical to wear in any other way than as a backpack, but it's nice to know that if for instance you take it on a plane and want to carry something else on your back, you can adjust the bag so that it looks sort of like a purse/shoulder bag instead.As much as I liked the backpack design I ultimately returned the bag because contrary to what the item description says, the leather does not feel high quality. I'd say this would be a great bag at half the price, but for £90 the leather should be soft and cured. Instead, the leather felt a bit stiff, and the dye hadn't properly been set in it so that it ended up transferring to my shirt after an hour-long, leisurely walk in dry weather (i.e. no rain). A vinegar soak and stain remover helped decrease the staining, but it's still there.If the bag was half the price I'd have just taken it in to a leather shop/shoe repair place and asked them to seal the leather properly for me, but at £90 I think the bag should be perfect. I get that some dye transfer can happen sometimes, but this was like shoe polish (see the photos attached). I've never experienced anything like it before. After doing some more research I decided to return the bag and seek out a higher-quality bag that gave me better quality for the price.

I don't often bother to write reviews, but I bought this months ago and am just so happy with it, I thought I really should let people know. I have been through a few handbags over the last few years and none have been quite right until this one. It is good quality and looks fine, but far more importantly it's a great size to fit in everything in that I need and has LOADS of pockets, so I can find little things that I need, quickly. Twice over the last week, people have asked me if it's a Mary Poppins bag and whether I have a standard lamp in there. Clearly, I don't have a standard lamp, as I have no need for one when I'm out and about, but I do often have a water bottle, very light waterproof coats for me and my 2 daughters, a basic first aid kit, as well as the usual things you might expect to find in a handbag, such as wallet, phone etc. It is comfortable to wear and looks fine. If you're someone who needs to carry a lot around but can't get away with a proper rucksack, this is the one for you!

After reading reviews I was a bit cautious about ordering it, but I am delighted with it. Love all the compartments so I won’t be looking in my bag for keys, purse etc everything can have its own place, and plenty big enough. I am looking forward to using it!

I love this bag, it's my everyday bag now and it's great. Super great quality and it shows. It's a little small for the cost, you can't fit much more than a lunch and a drinking bottle & umbrella +some extra stuff in the pockets when used as a backpack without looking too packed. As a handbag/shoulder bag it's a lot more space. Been given compliments 👍👍

Love this bag 🎒 have it in brown colour and I love them both. Lovely soft leather and excellent quality.

Although this bag is a bit on the expensive side it is made of leather. I love and use it often. There are many zipped pockets and I find it useful for long walks with room enough for a small bottle of water and sandwiches not to mention the unexpected punches I make in the High Street. For me, this was a perfect buy.

I love the Visconti Back Packs. I also have the slightly smaller version but this one has loads of zipped pockets and is very roomy. Beautifully made too and good value for money.
