Very durable and versitile
I use it as a steel wool for cleaning things that are really stuck on dishes. I work as a machinist and sometimes when I come home I have little metal chip splinters in my hands/arms and put some gojo on it and it gets them off noproblem

Good quality
Beats sand paper hands down when sanding lacquer, as sandpaper it rolls up the dust and sticks to the paper. These pads capture the dust and keep it away from sticky build up allowing more sanding before cleaning. provides a smooth surface for a topcoat finish.

Great for a quick scuff before a a spray of clear coat.
From a small repair shop that likes to make junk look good. Everything looks good with a coat of clear coat. That clear coat needs something to stick too. quick scuff with these going with the flow of panels or with the grain as they say with wood. give everything a dull dusty look with these and a light coat of clear.

Not Pro
The description is a little misleading. It says “general purpose” and “pro”. 3M doesn’t make a general purpose pro. You purchase one or the other. You hope to receive the higher quality “pro” model but naturally you receive the cheaper product, the general purpose model.

Perfect for scuffing between cots of varnish or paint
Even using 360 grit paper you can sand through your previous coats. Prior to your finish coat you should “block” the surface with 360 to get a smooth, glossy finish
