This thing is good as new. Being from Microsoft, it fits perfectly and connects seamlessly.

Bought this for my surface pro 7 which Microsoft doesn't make keypads for anymore.Pairing was easy and the typing is smooth. It fit perfectly on my surface. Some buttons do not work on mine. The screen brightening, there's no volume control buttons and some of the function keys. I didn't use those often but take heed if you do use them.

Description was refurbished/excellent, but the keyboard is in fairly rough shape, including a tear at the left corner. The keyboard was received in a bag that appeared to have been run through shipping equipment before it was placed in a box for final delivery. I have ordered refurbished equipment in the past and last description of excellent typically means the product will be used, but like new. This product clearly is not.

I ordered this cover/keyboard because the one that came with my SP7 stopped working. It was delivered on the third day after my order well packed and in like new condition. It was a simple and easy plug and play connection and functions great. It has the original feel to it with no wear or scratches. I find it well worth the cost and good replacement.

Though initially skeptical about buying renewed products, the high cost of a new Type Cover made me consider this option, especially since my Surface laptop is already 3 years old.After using this for 4 months now, this renewed Microsoft Type Cover has completely exceeded my expectations. The quality is remarkable - it feels and functions exactly like a new unit. The keys are responsive, the trackpad works perfectly, and it has given my aging Surface laptop a new lease on life. This is not the fault of the seller, but type keyboards for Surface 1-3 appear to have the same connector. I was looking for a Type Keyboard for specifically a SPro2 (same as SPro1), and this is where Amazon took me. It looks right, but I didn't check the dimensions.The keyboard arrived, as advertised, in Excellent condition. It's larger than the SPro2 keyboard (the Surface 3 was the size of the later SPros, but uses the same connector as the SPro 1 & 2).In a nutshell, it FITS and it WORKS. Yes, it's larger than the SPro2 keyboard, but that's a plus in my book because it gives me a better experience than the old one ever did because the trackpad is larger and smooth, and the keys are better spaced and , well, just better.I will never cart the SPro2 around, so the larger KB is perfect for my use. Thank you!
