Michael Crichton never fails to deliver suspense and unusual intrigue. The Andromeda Strain is too close for comfort given our sending things into space and many of them coming back down to Earth carrying who knows what contaminants with them. Glad to have finally read some of his earleir works here in this great three-book combination.

Big fan of collections and this one includes Michael Crichton’s three early novels (all of which were made into movies) and for some odd reason were never read by this reviewer until now.Andromeda Strain gets an A for combining fiction with real world science well-researched by a student of medicineTerminal Man gets an A- although the characters are sympathetic.Great Train Robbery A+ for immersing the reader into a bygone Victorian era complete with its own idiom and regarding criminals that stand the test of time in ingenuity and cunning.

If it weren't for this book by MICHAEL CRICHTON we wouldn't have any idea such minds existed in our national labs, military and private sectors. It would all be considered to be elaborate convoluted conspiracy theories, side glances, winks, FRINGE SCIENCE. He left us too soon. Must read. To get a different perspective, and an unlikely DEEP look into this prolific mind THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY will surprise and delight you. Mangel Hack

Love MC's work. These are earlier books which have good pacing but a raw element to their story telling that fits well witht he Sci-fi/Medical thriller genre (except the GTR..totally different story).

I had read these novels several decades ago, and enjoyed revisiting them. The writing is mostly competent and workmanlike, and at times a slog -- The Great Train Robbery is the best written of the three. The ideas in Andromeda Strain and Terminal Man are interesting, and the story in Great Train Robbery moves along well.

Can't go wrong with these novels that became movies....

This book is simply stunning. All three novels plunge you deeply in an intricate, complex tales where the 'tipping point' occurs inexorably (that Crichton's underlying style). The service was prompt and good, and the book in very good condition. The only complain is that the book is larger than most bibles. ;)

Great way to revisit some good stories at a bargain price

This man died much too young for all the knowledge and superb fiction he had yet to bestow! You can tell these stories were some of his earlier work as they're a little more technical than his later work, however they're still amazing and well worth the read (Great Train Robbery is an all-time favourite!)

Drei Komplette novels in einem sammelband!Die drei sind seine ersten werke die auch unter seinem namen veröffentlicht wurden!!Andromeda strain ist einfach genial und hat ein neues genre geschafen den Technothriller. AS. ist spannend und man verschlingt es regelrecht nur das ende entäuscht ein bischen. Auch vom literarischen Stil ist es hochinteressant!Beim "The Terminal Man!" ist es schon etwas länger her das ich ihn asl einzelband gelesen hab aber es war ganz ok hat mich aber nicht so begeistert wie die anderen beiden novels!The Great Train Robbery ist einfach nur genial, es ist eine (leicht abgeänderte, aber denoch sehr korekte beschreibung eines wirklichen historischen ereignisses! Im Jahre 1855 kam es wirklich zu dem berühmten Eisenbahnraub. Die Story ist spanned und bietet einen historisch hochgradig korekten Einblick in die damalige Zeit. Die Zahl der Fakten und korekte Recherche ist unheimlich gut!Wenn man viel über die "victorian Age" herausfinden will und dabei spanned unterhalten werden möchte muss man dieses buch lesen!! Einfach Genial eine der besten Historischen Romane der jemals geschrieben wurde.wundervoll recherchrchiert!MUST HAVE!!!!
