When I first got the Mark Feldstein Rustic Cardinals 8 inch Sound Clock, I put in one of my usual AA alkaline batteries. While the clock worked, the cardinal did not sing on the hour, which was the main reason I bought it. i was waiting for an OK from the seller before returning it when by chance I read that some inexpensive items like remotes and clocks that are low-drain devices require a carbon-zinc battery, as an alkaline one will not work for those particular items. I did not see that written anywhere in the instructions. The only thing mentioned was to use AA batteries, and not to mix different types of batteries. The instructions need to be clearer and specify that the battery needs to be the carbon-zinc type for the clock to work. After purchasing and installing that type, the clock worked and the cardinal sang as expected. I just wish I had known about this beforehand. I hope this information helps future customers. I also used those batteries when I got the 45Min 10 inch 3D number dial face modern wall clock that this review is showing up under.

I have a half dozen of them in my house in different colors. The clock looks expensive because of the smoothly sweeping second hand, but the clock is downright cheap! It keeps great time and is easy-to-read. (I personally do not look for a challenge when I want to know the time; some may disagree.)The only negative is that the white ring around the perimeter is a brittle plastic. If the clock drops on a hard surface, the white ring will almost definitely crack. While this will not affect function, the appearance with a crack in that outer ring detracts from the overall appearance.

Ugh. I bought one and was excited that it was actually silent, so I bought a few more for some other rooms. After a few weeks one stopped. I thought I may have put a battery in that wasn't fully charged, so I replaced the battery. It didn't start up again. A few hours later it began moving again. A few weeks later another stopped, and I noticed that the first was several hours off and realized it must have stopped. Tonight, the one in my bedroom has started clicking. Not a tick-tock, which drives me nuts, but a random tap tap tapping with a little buzzing thrown in. All three are just out of the return window, so they'll be going into the trash in the morning. I may smash them to pieces just to take my frustration out on them. Don't buy this clock!

This clock is perfect for my needs --- totally silent --- such a relief not to have that tick-tock going all the time --- I didn't know how tension-inducing that ticking was. It's keeping very accurate time with alkaline batteries (don't have to buy zinc-carbon batteries for this like for some other clocks). And I love how it looks on my mustard-colored walls. The only down-side I've found is that the battery compartment is too small to hold some of my rechargeable batteries. A disposable alkaline battery just barely fits in.

This product has a smooth, almost mesmerizing motion, and is even more attractive than in the product photograph. I bought the blue model, and the blue is rich and on a metal (or at least metal-looking) but not high-sheen face, and the numbers on the clock face are very slightly raised. The result is that the product actually has more character than the product photograph conveys. This also means it's even better value for money than I already thought it would be. I may, in fact, buy the yellow version for another room of my apartment.Since I haven't had it long, I can't speak to its batter life or longer-term accuracy, but so far so good.

It is exactly what I was looking for! Ordered the yellow dial to place it above fireplace next to a black framed gallery print and a CB lamp as the space is completely white.I love that the border inside is the same color and outside is white. It looks great with slight distance (it is Plastic after all)The fact that it is super light means a Pushpin is enough to hold up.It’s not too big nor small. It’s just right in size.

I ordered the clock for my kitchen. I chose the yellow to brighten up and add a fresh new color. ( i think the green would also have been very nice!!) The delivery was on time, the clock was very well packaged. It came out perfect, bright as depicted in picture. It is silent, very smooth movement. Is thus far (two days) working beautifully. Excellent value for money and very nicely priced. So far, I am totally satisfied with every aspect of the purchase. If any problem develops I will update this review.

This clock looks so good. I love the yellow. Perfect pop of color. The problem is that the white numbers on the bright yellow makes it hard to read from across the room when looking straight at it. It’s easier when viewed from more of a side angle, which is mostly what I wanted it for (when I’m on my couch). I do recommend the clock for the style.

This clock added the finishing touch to our newly refurbished kitchen. It matches the colour scheme and we are very pleased with it.
