What you need to hear: Instead of gutters full of leaves, your gutters are half filled with open cell foam and the leaves blow, roll, or are eventually pushed off of the top. This is a very good solution for places where there isn't a lot of small (especially granular) debris though it will probably work well at the beach too. I'm not sure what the limit of water passage might be though I suspect that the size of the downspout might be the limiting factor in heavy rain. We have a metal roof and the trees around us are deciduous; cherry, black walnut, myrtle, and a few others. Therefore we do not have the asphalt shingle stone problem nor the pine needle issue. For our place, this is a perfect solution and works very well. I think the price is quite high for the material that you get (foam just isn't all that expensive) but it's worth it to me not to have overflowing gutter syndrome (OFGS) which is closely related to plugged downspout disorder (PDSD).

Installed 2 months now after talking to CEO of company. Pro version with 15 year warranty now far superior to older item that had only 3 year warranty. Complete new product formula and paint to protect from weather and sun related damage. It has blocked all pine needles and maple seed "propellers" and still achieves maximum waterflow through gutters. I notched bottom of gutterstuff where gutter supports where finding this to be easier to install than trying to force it under the supports. I was still able to tuck front under front lip of gutter and back under shingle overhang, trim and rear gutter edge. This created a snug fit with a slight upward belly to gutterstuff . This almost makes them self cleaning in heavy downpours by gradually pushing needles, seeds and leaves forward and off to ground and allowing water to penetration through to gutter without any noticeable slowdown in waterflow. I have this suspicion that in the snowy northeast this will make it easier to slide snow off my roof to the ground without snow buildup in the gutter. I also feel I must do this faithfully before any melting and freezing takes place after a snow storm. Hopefully, this will reduce or eliminate last year's ice dams.

I live under a gigantic Sycamore. My first winter in the house, 3 years ago, saw me up a ladder at 3am removing a huge clog of leaves from the gutter outside the bedroom. I mean the sound of falling water is soothing and all, but not when it's a stream that sounds like an elephant relieving itself on a tennis court! After a ton of research, I decided to give GutterStuff a go. I went for the "Pro" version due to the claim of longer life (I don't like to have to redo things) and calced out the required length I'd need. It took one afternoon to get it all installed. It loses a star because It's not really clear which way around to orient the "angle" in the gutter and even once I'd figured out the best way, sections still tend to drop in deeper than they need to. There's a little work left here for them to figure out a better fitment mechanism, but that's my only gripe. The first winter was pretty mild (it's Northern California, after all :) ) and it didn't miss a beat. My nights were void of elephants! This summer I decided to get back on the roof and see how the gutters looked. There were almost no leaves (per the claim, leaves dry up and blow off the top, having no where to collect in any meaningful layers) but the Sycamore seeds (little feathery things) are quite small and tend not to move around once they find a good place. The holes in the foam itself provided enough purchase for the little buggers to hang around. That said, the pores were not completely clogged and I'm sure that, even with the seeds in place, water would still be able to get through at a good rate. Being anal, however, I dragged my ShopVac onto the roof and spent an hour or so clearing off the worst of the seeds from the valleys in the roofline and sucking the worst of the top layer off the GutterPro foam. That was several months ago, so I'm sure that Fall provided plenty more crud to drop on top of the then clean pores. Well, this weekend was the true test. A series of Pacific Storms swept the Bay Area and drenched Silicon Valley. My gutters didn't even flutter. Several neighbours were having overflowing problems, the streets were pooled and my garden could not absorb another drop, but the water disappeared off my roof without a hint of overflowing. Highly recommend!

I bought a product through NuMoon Collection that they (and Amazon) purported to be this product. It was not. It was not even close. Sadly for NuMoon, I knew what I was supposed to be getting because I had purchased a small amount of the real thing from the manufacturer. Amazon is allowing an unethical secondary seller rip off an uninformed buyer with a shoddy knock off that is not even close to the original product. Some of the reviews for GutterStuff products offer questions and complaints. Go to the GutterStuff website before you buy any of these products. They are work to install, but if they are the right thing, the actual product, and placed correctly, they are a very good product.

The jury is still out on the performance of this product. In the two months it has been installed it seem to be performing adequately. I am still waiting to see how they perform during the upcoming winter season. I have had the opportunity to see how this product performs in heavy rains and it does not perform well. Once the foam becomes supersaturated the rain cascades over the sides of the gutter because the water has no other place to go. I do not recommend this product for the above reasons.

When I had my roof redone, the roofer frowned on my old guards that tucked up under the shingles. I bought a pack of these for an extreme problem area and the roofers highly recommended them. bought couple packs here and there over the summer and this fall just filled all my gutters. They seemed to perform well over the summer. The section I installed last year seemed to hold up well. These are light weight and can be cut to length. They're also high-flow and you can't see them from the ground/road. Not sure if the Pro stuff is worth the upgrade over regular. It appears to be better quality and should last longer, but time will tell.

Not what the picture showed. 20 some years ago I bought gutter stuff (not sure of that brand). They came full size not compressed. The plastic was much heavier and lasted all these years. Wish they still made the old ones. Maybe they do just can't find them. They claim they went to the new product so it could be compressed and save the planet by using less cardboard in shipping but yet the compressed product was shrinked wrapped in several feet of clear plastic wrap which is much more harmful than recyclable cardboard. The product is in my gutters and will see how it holds up.

Have been using these for quite awhile. Switch out every 5 years or so. This last set was still intact with only minor UV damage (removed because normal asphalt residue from shingles has to be cleaned from time to time). This version is slightly different and has a longer warranty so I'm optimistic I can extend changing. But if not, 5 years no maintenance is still pretty good if you ask me...
