Very Fun
As a big fan of 7 wonders I was very excited about this expansion, although a little nervous because the game already plays so well. My friends and I currently play with the leaders, cities, wonders pack, and the fan made empires expansion (just the wonders from this expansion). there are 2 seperate expansions or game mechanics included in the Babel expansion. the first is the tower of babel expansion - this is a fantastic mechanic that changes the rules for all players, not just your immediate neighbors. it took us a game or 2 to figure out exactly how to use this mechanic well, but the key is to play a card that gives you an amazing benefit based on your board and the strategy you are employing, or penalizes someone else for using a specific strategy. So in true 7 wonders style playing the right tile at the right time and having to weigh out your options while being very aware of what everyone else is doing the tower mechanic brings a lot to the table in terms of adding to the fun.the 2nd expansion is the Great projects mechanic - one great project is placed on the board at random every age. then participating in that project either grants you a reward or protects you from a penalty. Coin management becomes very improtant with this mechanic in play as typically the cost to participate involves coins. After a handful of games I can say they are both extremely fun additions to the 7 wonders system as a whole. although I would recommend leaders as the 1st expansion purchase if you had to choose just one, and I would say this would be my 2nd choice, but i would call them both "must have's" for any 7 wonders fans.

Great addition to 7 Wonders especially when played with Leaders and Cities expansions
We've played this a number of times over the past couple of weeks and my family really likes what it adds to 7 Wonders. There are two expansions included in this one box. I would recommend what is recommended in the instructions, that you play each of the expansions separately with just the base game to learn them. The Babel expansion adds cards that you build up as you build the Tower of Babel. Most cards have a special function that affects everyone, like resources that are available to everyone or and added cost to build certain cards. My favorite is the one that lets you build card chains off of your neighbor's cards! As the tower gets built up, previously played cards get covered up, so the change they bring does not last the whole game. (TIP: If you are using the 7 Wonders Companion scoring app, it does not currently support this expansion. Just add the score you get from using these cards into the 'yellow' card category when doing scoring)The Great Projects expansion includes a neat twist in that multiple people have to cooperate to build the project in each age. If enough players cooperate, all those players get a reward at the end of the age. If the project fails, then every player who did not participate pays a penalty. The real fun comes in when when you combine all the expansions, including Leaders and Cities. There will be a lot to think about and the two new expansions add some new, fun dimensions to the game. If you are a 7 Wonders fan, I'd highly recommend these expansions.

Lots of pieces but hands down the best expansion in the seven wonders series.
We love the 7 wonders series and it is easily our go to game for game night. We recently purchased all of the available expansions to the game and they all add their own flair and once you have it down they are all great additions to the base game. However, Babel is probably the easiest to use and changes the game in such a simple way that the setup for it is pretty quick even though the number of pieces are a little daunting. We've only played with Babel few times but it dramatically changes the game play, giving players the option of adding rules to the game that can make it easier or harder to build cards. And the amount of Babel tiles given in the game both printed rules and blank ones to make your own mean that every game will be different. And out of all the expansions it is the one that you could easily use if you have a first time player in the group. In short a great expansion with an intimidating amount of pieces that is easy to implement to the existing game.

Love this expansion to the base game.
We enjoy 7 wonders but have noticed that one person can focus on a strategy and if no one stops them they can run away with the game. This mitigates that by having everyone be involved in the great projects. Adds variety and more balance to a great game. I don't think that I would play without it after this.

I like the expansions in the box
The expansions add new twists and challenges to the game. Just like the base game, they are of high quality print on thick durable tiles. The tray in the box isn't quite large enough to hold all the new tiles, it could be a little deeper to accommodate all of it. My only complaint is that Amazon could have handled the delivery process a little better. The box was crushed upon arrival which is a simple fix with a return. The game is still playable and will be used until the replacement arrivesUPDATE: The replacement arrived and it was crushed as well, although not quite so badly as the first one. Perhaps Amazon should consider packaging in something other than a plastic bag. Love the game, shipping leaves much to be desired.

I love 7 Wonders and I own every other expansion that ...
I love 7 Wonders and I own every other expansion that has been released for it (and even some fan expansions!) It is absolutely in my game groups mop 5 most played games of all time. The fact that with the expansions you can play up to 8 players with no real added time as the game has simultaneous turns, it's our go-to in a big group. Babel is my least favorite expansion put out yet. Cities and Leaders were smaller expansion to Babel, but in my opinion, superior. There are a few different modules in this box for game play. None of them struck a chord with our group. While the idea of building the tower of Babel seems cool, it's unclear whether it ass much to the game play. I think the change of certain rules in one of the modules was a neat idea, but kind of took away from what I really loved and expected of 7 Wonders game play, adding another element of randomness besides drafting. I think this game will absolutely still appear to some fans, but I was left underwhelmed.

Cordialement.Vive amazon.fr
