Amazing
This game is amazing, as a person who has played the gen1,2,3 games I really enjoyed the game. It's a remake of Pokemon yellow (gen1) the only con with this game is the lack of wild battles but you get xp from catching Pokemon as well and there are alot of trainer battles too, the xp is distributed to the whole team so grinding is less as you don't have to grind xp for each team member, once you play this game you'll know that the game is pretty good

Fun, but the novelty wears off fast
A fun game, but if you've played FireRed/LeafGreen multiple times then it feels kind of like a slog to go through Kanto again. The story is slightly touched up from the original but there's no Sevii Islands, and the plot still feels like a re-hash.Newcomers who have mainly only played Pokemon Go may find this a lot more enjoyable. I asked a friend to complete the game on my behalf after the fifth gym.

Excellent Game

Great game for newcomers , slightly disappointing for fans
Decent game if you are new to the franchise or a really big fan of anything Pokémon. Not that good of a jrpg. It’s better suited for casual players (so are most Pokémon’s but this one is more so). However, the visuals are a huge upgrade from previous entries because switch is much more powerful than previous handhelds from Nintendo and everything looks nice. Haven’t tried it In docked mode but from what I’ve heard it looks fine.Gameplay : 3/5Visuals : 3/5And like any Pokémon entry, It’s great for kids. You will have fun if you pick up this game but I’d recommend getting something else and wait for the next entry

Awesome game
Super fun game used to play Pokémon yellow as a kid and always wanted a newer version of it😃 I also like the catching Pokémon like Pokémon go and how your Pokémon level up when you catch new ones. I would recommend people to buy it if you liked playing Pokémon yellow 👍🏻

The best pokemon game to date.
There are a lot of bad reviews saying that there are no longer pokemon battles. Let me tell you this is absolutely false. True you don't battle wild pokemon, but you very much still have pokemon battles with npcs everywhere you go.That said, let me say that I love the new pokemon catching mechanic. While it's true you don't fight wild pokemon, it feels much more interactive now, as you have to aim and time your pokeball throwings. It feels a lot more skill based than luck based now.At first I was skeptical about no longer having random encounters, but I've come to actually love it. Let's face it, random encounters could be annoying as hell in the older games, especially if you got 3 in one patch of grass. Now you can run around pokemon for the most part...but you still get a taste of the random element because sometimes they'll spawn right in front of you. Fine by me.I also love that they gave one of the OG games some love and care. I really despise the latest pokemon generations because they just don't even look like pokemon anymore. When the designers start to make them resemble man-made objects, then you know they're out of ideas and just milking it at this point. But in this game there is only the first gen, the best gen, and that's fine by me. Of course it seems you can import newer pokemon from Pokemon GO if you really want to, but I don't plan on using that feature.
