Great audio quality with Alexa functionality!
Really like this speaker!! I use it in my office and it's ideal for serving up audio content with Alexa commands. There are some other solutions on the market today that "work with Alexa", but none I could find that have this qualiity of audio with the Alexa smart assistant fully integrated. You can just say, for example, "Alexa, play Bob Dillan" and it will automatically go to your default service (Spotify, Pandora or whatever), and start playing. You can also say "Alexa next song" to skip, or "Alexa volume up" to turn up the volume (or down or 3 or 5 to set a specific volume level). When you say "Alexa", the Riva logo lights up blue which is pretty cool! The audio quality is amazing compared to that of the standard Echo. The Trillium virtual surround feature lets me position the speaker pretty much anywhere in the room and I hear stereo regardless of I sit or stand. There is also tremendous range without sounding overly bassy and you can hear clear separation between instruments.Setup was easy and quick with the convenient app which also lets you change the EQ settings. The speaker streams over WiFi, Bluetooth or Aux, but I use it over WiFi so I can keep it running when I leave the room. The design and finish are also great so it compliments the environment. At $199, this is a great value. You get an audiophile sound experience with integrated Alexa functionality for a really reasonable price.

Customer Support Is Terrible and Alexa Integration Has Nearly Stopped Working. 9 Months Of Trying
First off, I love my Echos, Dots and all things Amazon Alexa. Every room in my house including the outside and garage have devices and I play music and make announcements on them all the time Even all of my TVs have built in Fire or an attached FireTV.I wanted this speaker to wow me but it never did and is RIDDLED with technical issues. First off, it reboots itself at least three times a day randomly and makes a loud tone when it comes back online. (Sometimes in the middle of the night) and wakes you up. None of the other devices disconnect but this one.I worked with customer support for months to get the 'EVERYWHERE GROUP' or just Alexa groups in general to work with this speaker and FINALLY they got it working. Not a few months later it stopped working. I've made multiple customer service inquires to the company about the loss of this functionality and they now just don't respond instead of making up some reason or blaming it on Amazon as they initially did. At least tell me where I stand.Sound quality amazing? No not really I would rate it make a notch above the echo from a few years ago and they probably have one thats better now.If you want full Alexa integration and bug free device, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Buggy software. Needs work.
I think the sound is excellent for one speaker. The Mic works most of the time, even at a soft tone....even in another room. But.....The software is super buggy, the apps needs work, and i think i got one of the lemons, as mine keeps rebooting randomly, once, twice, three times a day. A handful of times it just stopped responding all together and needed a manual reboot of unplugging it. I opted to buy the battery, and that had its own issues of how it sort of mates to the base...not very well, but during the manual reboot, you have to remove the battery....my unit had been so buggy, i just keep the battery off. When it is working good, only half of the Alexa features work. Although it should have the capabilities of alexa...it cannot do half of the features of echo in terms of pairing with other units, playing anything from my home server or Pandora...the list goes on and on of what it cannot do. Future updates need to be a way to change the wake word. I have a few echos, a few dots, Amazon tablet, and a fire cube....they all respond to a host of wake words.Update: 2-non responsive crashes (needed hard reboot), and FOUR random restarts that i did not initiate....back in the box it goes. Back to the drawing board guys....

Great sound way too many issues...
Originally I have left 5 star review, shortly after my problems started. Here is the list of issues so you be the judge:1. Refusing all Alexa commands, just flashes Riva light in white after command was issued (hears but does not act), works fine after reboot2. Refusing to stop playback, Riva hears the command Alexa STOP! (music playing volume goes lower while issuing the command) light flashed blue bot command is not executed, music keeps on playing until unit has been unplugged3. No sound coming out of the unit, Echo confirms it is playing but no sound coming out of the speaker, same thing if you try starting music via application it offers confirmation that unit is playing but sound is not coming out of the speaker, reboot required. After new WIFI router, few factory resets and numerous reboots this unit goes back. Riva support offered to ship the unit back on my dime for repair?! Amazon offered refund, guess what I have picked?Left 2 starts while when it works it sound very good!
