Perfect as a twin blanket!I've been searching for a winter blanket: the winter blanket, the one that would be warm, not too big, not too heavy, not too warm, not itchy, machine washable, and green (pigment, not eco). This is exactly what I want; I'm actually considering getting a second one as a back-up in case anything happens to this one. The outside is called "blue" but it's a blue-green plaid that gives more "green" than blue. The inside is fleecy and soft. I've had it for a month under a variety of weather and temperatures: on the mild nights it doesn't swelter and on the cold nights it is warm. I pair it with a high thread count sheet set; no additional blankets.Highlights:1) washable. I saw that the one "bad" review was about color bleeding. I always wash before I use, and the dye made me cautious so I put it through two back-to-back wash-dry cycles before use. No dye bleed. Further, there was NO lint in the dryer, even after the second go. None.2) Material: I've had comforter-blankets in the past where the filling wormed out through the top layer. None whatsoever with this. Everything stays right where it is supposed to be. The top is soft but not distractingly fluffy, the bottom is fluffy fleece. ZERO shed.3) Warmth: See above. It's perfect and breathes while being warm.4) Size: this blanket is about 4 feet by 6 feet, which is a great size as a twin bed blanket, especially for average or below-average height people. If you're under 5'6 and in a twin bed, this is perfect for you.5) Weight: physically very light. No wrestling involved.If there were more than five stars, I'd post them: it has been a long search to find the perfect blanket, and even though this is technically an oversized throw, this is my goal blanket.

For years I spent my winters snuggled up under a slightly too small, down filled throw I got from Target. As the years went on, that throw began to fray, and the feathers began to poke out of the blanket in random spots, which was exceedingly unpleasant when one was trying to relax and was suddenly poked by a feather end! I also wanted a blanket that would be kinder to my allergies. After much Amazon research, I decided to purchase this Woolrich down alternative throw, and have been delighted and cozy ever since!At 5 foot 2.5 inches tall I do not need a huge blanket, but I still want one I can tuck myself into on the couch and not have feet exposed. The size of this throw is perfect for tucked in snuggling (by myself, or with my son, who is currently 5 years old), and having the option of different sides of the blanket to have against me is another plus. As someone who is almost always freezing in fall/winter, this blanket kept me perfectly warm and cozy this past winter season. There is not much, if any, filling between the layers; however, the two layers of fabric, and whatever is between them, if anything, are more than enough to keep you warm on a chilly night (without having to add layers of clothing). The throw did require some trimming of errant strings and fuzzy bits on the sheepy-side upon arrival, but it held up perfectly in the wash (following the washing directions!) and has held up to months of daily use like a champ.I am planning to replace my some of my other throw blankets with different colors of this one, and this would make a lovely gift, especially as a house warming or for a student just getting started on their own for the first time.

We love these blankets. They are just right size. I’m 5’11” and this blanket covers me comfortably. The fleece is the real secret. Super warm and cozy.

I was very skeptical when I first took it out of the wrapping. It seemed too thin and not at all likely to be warm and cozy. But for the price I thought what the heck. I washed and tumble dried it right away. To my surprise it came out of the dryer somewhat fluffier and thicker. I used it right away and am pleasantly surprised that it is VERY warm. The top layer is kind of a brushed fabric, nice and soft. The fuzzy side of the blanket is soft but not very plush. What I really love is that it is longer than most throws, so my feet don’t stick out of the end. All in all for the price you can’t go wrong.

Received my throw today (and am using it right now as I type this review) and was instantly happy with it. I typically wash anything thing that is washable as soon as I get it, because ... you know ... germs and zombies and such. However, I almost did NOT wash this item because it was so incredibly soft already and did not have that factory-contagion smell to it. But alas, fears of the apocalypse won out and into the washer it went. There was no color bleeding and somehow it came out even softer than before.We live in a farm house that is primarily heated with a wood stove. So typically our mornings and evenings are quite chilly in our house. The throws we use to keep draped over our laps are pretty important to us. This throw is extremely warm and well made. We are very happy with it. So much so we have decided to order three more for our college kids when they come home for the holidays.One note of warning, if you own a dog or a cat or something you cooked up in the laboratory, be prepared to fight them for this throw. I am currently losing to a hulking 7-pound hellhound (Chihuahua) ... but it is worth the fight ... yeah, the throw is that good!

I ordered several different blankets to keep our living room cozy during the winter. I thought this looked soft, but I didn't have high expectations. Turns out, this is now our favorite throw blanket! It's light weight, so I was surprised at how WARM it keep you! Both sides are soft, the pattern is a velvety soft, and the sherpa side is fluffy and amazing! The 50x70 size is big enough for my husband and I to use as a lap throw together on the couch, or for one of us to use as a full blanket for napping. I've already laundered it once, (machine washed on cold, tumble dry) used a medium heat setting on the dryer based on another review here and it turned out great. Would definitely recommend this throw, we might even get another one!

The quality is poor and cheap. The stitches are frayed, and there are marks and dirt on the fleece. The fleece feels low-quality and is likely to pill after washing. I have returned it :(

This blanket is the best, I wasn’t sure if I should buy it because of another reviewer saying it didn’t wash well but I washed it and it came out perfect I think it just needs to be washed separately on delicate and low heat dry to keep it nice. And it is not as thick as I had been hoping but it feels so soft and is soooo warm I love it!
