Tretorn Men's Gunnar Rain Shoe

I'm writing this review not so much about the shoe, but on the company Tretorn. The shoes performed well for nearly two months before the left one began to allow water to somehow seep inside. I assume the sole had separated or something, but they allowed my foot to get wet during a downpour. Because they are brand new I thought if I contacted Tretorn customer service they would simply replace them. NO. At first I was told to contact Amazon since I purchased them here. But Amazon's short return time had passed. Back to Tretorn. I called, the woman was very nice and emailed me a form to fill out which I hoped might get me replacements. It asked several questions on where I purchased them, how much, size, the problem, etc... Then it asked for photographs of the shoes, obviously to show any damage or a possible flaw in the shoes. I followed everything, sent the photos along with the questions to Tretorn in an email as requested. I received a reply that stunned me. Basically, because they could not see any flaw with the shoe, nothing was offered other than an apology for the problem! Are you kidding me? THE LEFT SHOE LEAKS, they're brand new. Hello, direct me to send them in, test them, then make a decision. But no. I will NEVER purchase from Tretorn again due to this egregious lack of customer service by that company. I would also urge all of you reading this to heed what I wrote here before purchasing from them. If a company is not willing to stand by their product then they don't deserve to stay in business. I thought Tretorn was a better company than this...

I really liked these boots *while they lasted.* I live in the wet Pacific NW and they keep my feet warm and dry. I wore them on a trip to the Baltics in December and had them on almost daily on long walks. The problem is that now, a year and month from when I bought them, the upper on my right boot has a tear. It is on top of the shoe, a bit to the side, just in front of the laces and in the spot where the shoe flexes during a stride. Now they are not water proof which was the whole point in buying them. It would seem to me that boots should last longer than 13 months especially since I do not often wear them, particularly in the warm half of the year.

Wore them less than a dozen times just walking to work (no heavy duty outdoor activities) and they split so bad that I can no longer wear them without my socks getting soaked. The finger loop to help put the boots on also broke within days (not so concerned about this issue, but still).

These shoes started off great, but after only a few wears, the sole started to separate from the banding that connects it to the upper. There's now a crack about three inches long along that seam which, if water gets in, means my socks are soaked! Really unfortunate because brand-new, out-of-the-box, these were super functional. But I wore them maybe 5 times before I started to notice that my right foot was getting wet.If we're talking light rain, it isn't an issue. But as soon as that foot steps in a puddle, my sock instantly gets wet. Bought them a while ago and they don't seem to be eligible for return :(

They look great, fit great, kept my feet dry great for almost two seasons. But the Eyeholes need some improvement. As others have written, they just rip through and you are left with less of a shoe that doesn't feel as secure when tied.

It fits perfect. Very stylish. Waterproof. The only problem would be that it is slippery on smooth surfaces.

Other good reviews influenced my decision to get this shoe. Unfortunately it has been a big disappointment, I just had it on after a snow day in Denver knowing it's a waterproof shoe; but NO my socks got so wet it was really bad. The shoe is not waterproof that's it.

These rain boots are well constructed. They are a little wide at the toes for people like me that have a narrow foot, but they are comfortable if you lace them up a little. I like the fact they don't have an arch support really. They can get pretty hot as they don't breath the best.

These work great. The fit is as expected they are entirely waterproof, excellent for spring muddy season or rainy weather. They look smart enough you can wear them to the office although my partner says his feet get too hot in them to wear around the office all day.

Amazing, excellent! Thankfully the sizing chart and tool both helped me select these perfect fitting boots. Can't wait to try them in rain and snow. Great price, and great selection.

My husband has wide size 12 feet. I had read a review stating they were wide, so I thought they would be great. He actually says they are a bit wide and he is a true size 12.

Great shoes and very comfortable! I love them and one of my favorite boots. Perfect for slushy snow and rainy days. Easy to cleanand very light for a rubber made boots.

Unbelievable pair of boots, they are very comfortable, durable and water proof. Not super warm but with an extra pair of socks they helped me survive the brutal winter in Canada. Probably the best value to dollar deal I've ever had in my life.

the shoes were great, waterproof, fashionable, the only thing is, I used less than four months, one of the boots got a hole on it, the bottom sole was slowly coming apart. I guess I got what I paid for.

Not as comfortable as I would have liked, hard to put on.
