SeaChem's Discus Buffer is the most reliable pH lowering buffer I have found.
I started keeping Discus fish twenty-something years ago. At the time I was living in Miami and had the good fortune to find a great fish store called Some Things Fishy. These guys were all about fish, freshwater, and Marine. They helped me get started in the hobby and recommended SeaChem products. I have used them all these years with great results. SeaChem's Discus Buffer is the most reliable pH lowering buffer I have found! Great in planted tanks.

Discus Buffer is the best way I've found to soften my tap water quickly and affordably. Add some Neutral Regulator for any pH issues and Prime for your fish and the tap water is instantly ready for my fish/planted tanks. I know there are tons of ways to balance your water, but let's be honest, who has time or $$ for most of them? Not me. This is the fastest, easiest way I've been able to turn my tap water fish friendly. My parameters here are hard water that is high pH due to the use of chloramine.

Seems to be old product. Doing nothing for aquarium.
Seems old product so very degraded and does nothing for tank in spite of careful king measuring a bit more and doing repeatedlydly.. Quality control lacking???

A good product if you know what you're doing!
This is a very good product, I would recommend it to anybody keeping discus. But I would also do much more research in keeping discus. Find out what the guys do that have been keeping discus for years. I'm talking about domestic discus not wild caught. Make sure you do some research I'm keeping discus, that's the most important thing!

Works great!
I no longer have an aquarium, but when I did I used this product regularly to adjust the pH of water before I added it to the aquarium. It works great.
