My New Favorite Watch
This is becoming my new favorite watch. I had ordered the Timex Compass/Temp/Tide watch but after getting and returning two used ones, I started looking at this watch. It has not only the compass and temperature features (I don't need the tide feature) plus barometer and altimeter. In addition, it's solar powered and the time is radio controlled. What a great watch and fun to wear. It find I'm taking this one out of the watch box more and more often.

Don't believe a review about battery issues.
Too bad Amazon stopped allowing us to comment on reviews. Today's most popular review complains about a "LOW BATT" indicator, but he also states he uses the auto-light feature that illuminates the watch with a rotation of the wrist. That is the cause, and that feature should come with a warning from Casio.Avid outdoorsmen/boys, my sons and I all wear Casio three-in-one watches. One son's watch went through a LOW BATT episode. Since his was identical to the one I wore at the time we tried swapped watches, but since this didn't help, we knew it wasn't a user issue. I compared settings and found the only difference to be the auto-light active on my son's watch, and that turned out to be the problem. I turned it off and problem solved. We traded back and now more than a year later both watches are going strong, although mine is now strapped to the arm of another son. Those are the PRG-270 by the way, an excellent and bargain-priced watch -- especially when you can find it new from Amazon for under $90, as I did back in March of 2017. I don't know why Casio watch prices vary so much on Amazon, from Amazon as the seller. To wit: I paid $139 for this, my PRG-600, just over a year ago in June of 2020 but today it's listed for $189. It's worth $189; I was shocked when I stumbled upon it at the $139 price that was not any kind of deal, lightning or otherwise.I love this watch. It is thick and heavy, but I'm a middle-aged man who was born wearing a man's watch, so I'm used to it. I had a Swatch back in the 80s and I've had an ultralight dress watch or two but honestly, give me something I can feel, something I know is on my wrist. This does that and it looks great, too, but it doesn't scream money, so I'm not afraid to wear it in a questionable neighborhood.Typical or not I don't know, but my copy is not as accurate as other Casio watches I've had. Still, it it's not bad. It has lost a total of 26 seconds since I bought it, including 16 seconds between the last I set it in November of 2020 and today, July 23, 2021. (I set it to an atomic clock and make a note in my phone's calendar every time I set a watch, noting how far off it is.) This one might not be as accurate as my other Casios, but it is at least consistent. And two seconds per month isn't bad -- I've had much worse. When I was a kid I'd have been delighted with a watch accurate to two seconds per day.The only other caveat for you to consider is this PRG-600 uses the stem to set time and other functions, in a process that is not intuitive. You will not be able to adapt your experience setting Casio digital watches to setting this. I cannot say whether older digital-analog watches used similar procedures because this is my first triple sensor digital-analog watch.I suggest downloading a user's manual from Casio's website. It's free, and as with any Casio watch, to get the right manual you need only the four-digit module number that's engraved on the back of the watch. On this one it's 5497.Overall this is a nice watch with little to fault. Sure, it could be a bit thinner, and despite my earlier comments, a skosh lighter. I'd like it to have a feature to unblock the digital display from any mode, not just modes that require the display (maybe with a long-press of a button). And of course atomic accuracy would be nice, but that comes with an increased price I cannot justify. At this price point this watch can't be beat.

Very nice with great features.
I ordered this to replace a much older Casio. I like the size on this watch, it is easy to read. The varoius options are easy to access and the LCD is easy to see. I had ordered a different model and returned it because I had to use the backlight to read the LCD. The luminescence is very good and lasts all night.

Great looking watch and light weight
The watch looks great, aesthetically pleasing. The nylon strap is of high quality and feels very comfortable on the wrist. The watch is very light weight so you don’t feel it that much and there is no jiggle on the wrist. My hand is a bit less than 17cm and the watch fits well, ofc it’s big but it’s not a dress watch, it’s a watch for the outdoors, so I like it that way.I will post an update once I utilize the sensors more. For now the temperature sensor seems to be useful only off wrist

Not as complicated as some are making it out to be.
There are plenty of good reviews explaining the great things about this watch, and you should pay attention to them. The watch is good quality, great looking, and has plenty of features for those of us who live an active lifestyle but don't want/need a computer on our wrist. But mainly, I want to address some of the biggest and most repetitive complaints, because many are just wrong, and some are from people who are just too lazy to spend 5 minutes learning how something works before complaining about it.1) "The watch is too complicated...setting the time is even difficult." - Yes, this watch is more complicated than a watch that just tells time. Yes, the screw-in crown may be different than what you're used to. You don't set the time with this like you do a normal watch...you tell it what time zone you live in, by making the second hand point at your home time zone, which is displayed on the bezel.2) "The digital screen is hard to read because the hands are always in the way" - Pushing the lower-left and lower-center buttons simultaneously will move the hands to the 2 o'clock position, leaving the screen viewable...this is in the manual.3) "There's too much to remember to use every feature on the watch." - I don't know what to say...buy a smart watch? This is an analog watch with a lot of features...yes, it takes time to remember if you're going to use them all (but, let's be real for a second...most of us bought this for a few key features, and aren't using them all. But even if you are, it's not that complicated, just take the time to learn it).4) "The temperature isn't accurate." - This is true...think about it. The watch is sitting on your wrist and taking the temperature of the air through the sensor on the left side of the case. The air in that area is going to be affected by your body heat. However, in multiple climates, I've tested the watch temperature against the temperature on my phone, and it's within 4 degrees fahrenheit. If you need it to be super accurate, you won't want to rely on it...but if you're looking for a "good idea" of an approximate temperature, the watch is more than adequate. Again, stop buying analog watches and expecting smart watch functions.5) "The compass/barometer/etc isn't accurate." - Mine are...calibrate yours (instructions in the manual).6) "The backlight is too bright/makes it hard to read the watch face." - I disagree. Maybe this is something that's changed, but the backlight on my watch makes the face easily readable without being so bright to be distracting. If you're being "blinded" by it I'd have to guess you get in an accident every time you encounter a car with its headlights on. The auto-light feature works great, though admittedly it does require you to move your wrist at a bit of a awkward motion, which should be common sense as you wouldn't want the light activating every time you itch your nose or move your arm. Once you get used to it, it can be a useful feature, but most of the time it's easier and less awkward feeling to just use the button. At the end of the day, this is a high-quality, super accurate and useful multi-feature watch. I primarily rely on mine for the compass, barometer and of course time keeping. Though I don't regularly travel outside of my time zone, I do on occasion, and I've found the world clock to be useful and simple. I spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking and hunting. Though I carry a compass and map in my pack, I prefer to have the compass on my wrist once I have my bearings, and this one never lets me down. It's simple to read, quick to activate, and is spot-on accurate. I use the barometer to gather intel on barometric pressure when I'm hunting or doing long-distance shooting. While not a critical piece of information to have unless you need pinpoint accuracy at great distances, it does affect your shot, so I like being able to quickly gather a reading and factor it in.
