Good Textbook
I purchased this because it is a good basic textbook on the subject for first year B.Tech. students. Bolton's way of writing is lucid and has less complexity at that level.

A good book
William Bolton books are fantastic. This is no different, I didn’t buy it for any particular purpose other than a read through but it was enjoyable and insightful

Good.
Good book that has great notes. Has some questions at the back of each chapter for reviewing as well. Some of the answers provided for the questions are wrong though. Could use some reviewing from the writers and publishers.

No practical application.
As usual all of Boltons textbook are loaded with theory! Its okay if it was written by an author from the remotest part of the planet, but coming from the UK it should be more in-depth to application in the world of engineering. Not relevant to 1990s let alone 2010. I recommend Boltons textbooks be discontinued.
