Sturdy, well built and affordable
However be aware that it's very cramped. Even the Ryzen Stealth cooler doesn't fit due to the angle and size of one of the board's heat sinks. And you cannot orient it in the other direction either since it covers the ram slot. You're limited to buying another much smaller cooler or going with liquid cooling.
M**.
Your stock cooler wont fit without a grinder.
The cpu socket is so close to the vrm heatsink and ram that in had to take a grinder to the stock amd heatsink and grind the amd logo off to fit it on the board. This seems to be a massive oversight by msi, the heatsink to the vrms really shouldnt intrude on the stock cooler!!!!

Great Surprise!
So I have been spending the last few weeks doing research on the perfect motherboard to pair with a new Ryzen 5 2600. I had been focusing on the X470's, primarily because I didin't want to have to wait on AMD to send me a new cpu to flash the bios update onto one of the older mobo's (instant gratification of a purchse and all that). One of the sales people at MicroCenter suggested this board as I was eyeballing the Aorus Gaming 5, and after making the spec comparisons, this board offered more than I needed. I was happy to walk out with a better board than I was looking for at a price that shaved off of my budget!Getting it home and set up was a breeze! I have had no issues with it at all! All I can say is, be SURE to update drivers right away! They are all on the MSI website, and Windows 10 doesn't auto find them so navigate to the window to get them.

Not going so well...
Purchased this board and paired it with a Ryzen 2700 processor and MSI GTX 1060 GPU. Mounting of components went well. Upon start up, the EZ Debug LED indicated a VGA error. After removing the GPU card, clearing CMOS, resetting BIOS and removing MB battery the error was still there. MSI has little information at their website on how to resolve this error. The product guide does not mention the EZ debug LED. I contacted Amazon support and aside from checking cables there was little left to try to diagnose the problem. I went so far to remove the SATA drives, M.2 drives and tower front panel connections with the error still persisting. In the end Amazon, offered to replace the MB. Hopefully, the replacement will not have an error.Update 12/20/18:The new board arrived and was connected. Initially, the GPU card was omitted and the MB display connection were used. I still ended up with a VGA error. Further research revealed that a GPU is required as the MB display connection are not enabled. After giving the computer a few moments to POST, the error cleared and allowed for the installation of the OS.As I continued to make the switch over of Usb components from the older computer, the VGA error appeared again. By process of elimination, I discovered there was a bad USB hard drive causing the error. With all the connections made, the MB appears to be operating ok.

First PC build
I chose this mobo for my very first PC build/entry-level gaming PC, and I think I made an excellent choice. I didn't need a full ATX size because I'm minimalist... I don't plan on having a lot of components or peripherals, I'm not HUGE into gaming, and I wanted a physically smaller case. This board also has 4 RAM slots rather than the usual 2 for mATX, which is great. I spent a lot of time reviewing mATX boards, and this was the one consistently ranked highly. My build is:CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-CoreMotherboard: MSI - B450M BAZOOKA Micro ATX AM4Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" SSDVideo Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB GT OCV1Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATXCase: Thermaltake - Versa H18 MicroATX Mini TowerBeing a newb to PC building, I discovered I couldn't use the on-board graphics, because the Ryzen 2600 requires a dedicated graphics card. So until my graphics card arrived, it would boot with no display and 3 beeps, and show "VGA" LED on the "EZ Debug LED" strip. (Which, by the way, is a very handy feature). I think it's kind of a bummer that I can never use integrated graphics on this system as a back-up if my gfx card fails, but oh well. Then, I was also a bit worried my gfx card wouldn't fit, but it does. Lol. (What can I say, the last time I tinkered with graphics cards was 15 years ago when they were much smaller). The mobo arrived in great packaging, with very clear instructions on how to install everything, both physically and for the software/drivers. MSI is great about making very user-friendly instructions and software, and this is partly why I chose MSI, as a first time builder. Installing the drivers and software was easy and flawless. Now I will be spending months just figuring out what all of the options mean in the Command Center! ^_^ Building a PC has been an awesome and rewarding experience, largely thanks to MSI.Small nag: The Mystic Lighting, by itself, is pretty underwhelming, but I guess better than nothing.

Best i've tried so far
I will start off by saying that I think I've tried just about every Mini ITX board out there with the 350 chipset. Seemed to be ok running my Ryzen 2600X. But then I decided to jump into the 450 chipset and see what the difference was if any. I decide to go with this MSI board just because im becoming a fan of the Dragon. Once I got this board, I could tell it was pretty good quality, maybe not the top of the line, but pretty darn close. I love this board. I'm a small form factor Gamer and this thing is a beast and my games haven't run better. There are only 2 things that I can live with, but would liked to see more is it only has 2 fan headers. One more would've helped out alot. And the other thing is that I can't get my ram to 3200 mhz, just stuck at 3066 mhz which isn't a game breaker. But MSI is really good at updating its bios and software, so that last one isn't much of an issue. Other than that, I would highly recommend this board to any Ryzen 2 owners wanting to do anything including gaming.

MSI B450M PRO-M2 Great Motherboard
MSI B450M PRO-M2I've paired it with a Ryzen 3 1300X & an m.2 sata ssd & Corshair 3000MHz DDR4 Ram. Everything is running good.PROS:Supports latest 1st/2nd gen Ryzen or Athlon CPUs out of the box with AM4 Socket.Supports Over Clocking with B450 chipsetSupports Ram upto 3466MHz(OC)Supports M.2 NVME/SATA SSd(x4 32GBPS)MSI ClockBios has really good interface. with OC Genie which will automatically oc cpu (if enabled).CONS:In my case, the motherboard(latest bios updated) sets CPU Core Voltages above 1.4v for Ryzen 3 1300x in Auto Mode(without OC). It is too high for the cpu. So I've to set it manually to lower the value.##You can easily go for it if wanna overclock & tight on your budget.

Works well
On the box it says its Ryzen 3000 ready. I am using Ryzen 2600. This is my first computer build. I fitted an M.2 nvme drive which disables Sata 5 & 6. I also fitted a mechanical drive. The bios is menu is well laid out and looks easy to use. I updated the bios using the m.flash menu in the bios. I downloaded and un-zipped the latest bios and put the two files on a blank USB stick. The m.flash automately selected the usb stick. I left the other setting in the Bios at default. The wi-fi, sound and Bluetooth worked without any issues.

No video output
I was having problems with my PC. So I ordered B450M PRO-VDH, G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-16GTZB, and AMD YD2600BBAFBOX Processeur RYZEN5 2600. The instructions where horrible. But I watched a youtube video and got everything plugged in with a 600 Watt powers supply, and my RX480 . However, there is absolutely no video output from either the video or the mother board. (I didn't really expect video output from the motherboard, but I decided when the graphics card output didn't work. There is no error lights on the motherd board to indicate the nature of the error. The graphics card receives power, but that is really. The lights indicate the CPU and DRAM are ok.The manual consists of a quick start guide which doesn't not actually show you where anything is on the motherboard, and a CDROM. (Like who uses CD's?) I cannot find a contact seller button on amazon, otherwise I would try and get technical support. I ended up returning this motherboard and ordering an Asus B450. That worked flawlessly, and overall seemed better quality workmanship.1 STAR is a bit harsh, as every manufacture has DOA motherboards now and then, but the complete lack of a support channel or manual to tell me how to read out the on board indicators requires a harsh review.

Did not work correctly
Bought this items for a newly purchased Ryzen 5 3600. MSI stated at that time their currently released bios would work with this generation of cpu. It did not for me and many others. After a new BIOS version, the board only booted occasionally. At the end it crashed on a game and would not boot again (CPU Debug light constant). Many other MSI purchasers of the B450 series boards at this time were having similar issues. MSI was almost dead silent during all of this, and only suggested fixes that many people have already attempted and were not successful. They then did a livestream build which did nothing to assist anyone with these issues, and almost verbatim stated to return your board if it did not work and get the MAX version (this board does not have a max version) which is just being released. As if they expect the people with issues to return to MSI after that.I did open a ticket with MSI for this issue, and the tech was prompt with responses and did not seem to be a bot. After a few days the tech did not reply for several days. Last response was to try booting with one stick of ram, which I had already tried, but I did so again to no effect.Do not buy MSI B450 boards for Ryzen 3rd gen CPU's.

Great budget board. Easy BIOS for overclocking.
I bought this motherboard for a budget Ryzen build. It checked off most of my wish list.- plenty of USB ports (4x2.0 and 4x3.1 Gen 1)- multiple fan headers (CPU + 2 chassis fan)- RGB header (12V for 5050 LEDs - do NOT try connecting the cheap 5V LEDs! They'll flash once and never again.)- 4 DIMM slots/64GB RAM support- m.2 SSD connection with NVMe support (PCIe x4 32GB/s)- heatsink on the VRMIt also misses on a couple of items that I would have LIKED, but decided to live without.- USB 3.1 Gen 2- Rear USB Type C port- No dual BIOSOverall, I think the layout of this board is pretty good, other than one quibble I'll talk about in a bit. All the headers are nicely aligned along the edges of the board, allowing a very clean look if you're trying to do some level of cable management. There were no issues with fit/alignment of the CPU. I was a little surprised that the locks on the DIMM slots only move on the upper edge - especially when the instructions in the box clearly show both sides pivoting back. Not the end of the world, and if someone was determined to push that side open, they'd break those tabs before they ever pivoted open. But RAM snaps in securely. Adding the m.2 drive was just as simple as it gets ... slide in, screw down, done. Ditto adding expansion cards. No issues at all.I was immediately impressed by how clean and simple everything was in BIOS. The default "Easy Mode" lets you get the basics done without too much fuss. Setting the XMP profile for the RAM took no time at all, and having the overclocking settings so prominent made it very simple to start tweaking things. I quite enjoy having multiple saved profiles available as well. That allows me to keep a stock profile, an experimental profile, and a couple of stable OC profiles without having to choose which to delete. It's all pretty clean and straight forward to use.Mystic Light 3 works fine for controlling RGB, and flashing the BIOS firmware was a snap. Now, as I mentioned earlier about the board design and my one little niggle with it ... I do kind of wish the layout of the two PCIe x1 slots was a bit different though. If you drop a graphics card in that x16 slot, you WILL lose all access to the upper x1 slot. Having a gap below PCI_E_1 and lowering PCI_E_2 and PCI_E_3 would have given users two USABLE x1 slots. But ... mATX isn't built to have a zillion expansion slots.Oh, one thing before I forget. I don't know if this is a motherboard issue/firmware issue, or a Ryzen Master software issue, but EVERY time I tried using Ryzen Master to tweak my CPU/GPU settings and rebooted on this board, I had to break out a jumper cable from my breadboard and clear the CMOS/reset everything. It would NOT reboot again after Ryzen Master changes. I had to jump those pins 4 times before I gave up and stuck to making changes only in BIOS. That said, it would be SUPER if MSi included an extra jumper in the box for doing this. Not everyone has these lying around. So BIOS tweaking works great on this board, I don't trust it along with AMD's Ryzen Master software though. Maybe something a future update will address. Also appreciated that after clearing the CMOS, the board gave me the option to boot up using the last working configuration. Super convenient! The March 11 BIOS update also includes support for this year's 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs - so you can buy now and upgrade later. Another plus!

Great Value and Packaging
I purchased the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC to use in the new computer I was building. It was the first computer I'd ever built completely from scratch. I had done some research that the Gaming Pro Carbon AC was generally regarded as the best B450 board on the market, and that it was even better than some of the low end X470 boards. After assembling my computer, I have no reason to doubt that assessment. This motherboard worked with my 2700x right out of the box, though you will want to update your BIOS to the latest version as there was a recent update which improved performance for certain CPUs. I found the BIOS easy to navigate, and updating it was a simple matter, as was setting my RAM speed to 3200.Much to my delight, when I opened the motherboard box, I was greeted with a quick install guide for various processor architectures, as well as a hard copy of the motherboard manual. Being somewhat old-fashioned, I much prefer leafing through a hard copy than having to go online (which sometimes isn't convenient when you're putting together a PC). The last motherboard I purchased only had an electronic manual, so MSI definitely earns some brownie points for that. The inbuilt WiFi is a nice touch, and it's been just fine for my connection (which is 200 Mbps). In my view the board could have been improved in the following ways:1. There are five USB ports at the back (and one C-type), and I find myself wishing it had one or two USB ports.2. There is no internal USB 3.1 Type C connector that I saw, so if your case has one on the front, you won't be able to use it.3. In my case (a Corsair 500D), the rear 120mm fan casing brushes up against the protruding armor thing at the top left of the motherboard that says "Gaming Pro". Not a big deal, but I thought I'd mention it.Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and despite my nitpicks, I give this board five stars.

It's get's the work done!
Ordered this on 2nd June 19. Got this within a week's time in Hyderabad. The motherboard pretty much gets the work done. The overall build quality is OK. The BIOS has easy options for overclocking the CPU, RAM etc. Also much user friendly to use. I faced an issue as I was making the build. It was not showing up any display as I turned on for the first time. Then I installed my graphics card GTX 970 (from my old build) and the display came through that. never tired the on board display again. I was scared the sound won't work either but it's working fine. I overclock the Ryzen 1200 upto 3.8. And it was working fine until I started playing Overwatch. After 10 mins of playing Overwatch the PC switched off. So I tuned down and it's running smooth at 3.45 Ghz with the stock cooler. I might switch to an after market cooler next time. So, all good for now!The story just got started, so I will keep updating as the something comes up in this same place :) hope that helps.

Best budget option for ryzen overall!
Ryzen 3000 out of the box! Wifi 5 (which is fine) but also had Intel gigabit LAN. I was buying this or the MSI Tomahawk max as they are both very well rated b450 boards. However for $30 Canadian in the gaming pro carbon AC you get Intel lan instead of realtek, you also get wifi and Bluetooth! Add well as some RGB if that's your thing. In my opinion this is the best budget board available!

December 2019, 6 months since Ryzen 3000 launch, yet this is still on OLD BIOS?!
TLDR: DO NOT GET THIS IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PAIRING IT WITH RYZEN 3000 SERIES.Very dissatisfied with this. Completely useless piece of crap because it is running on old BIOS that does not support Ryzen 3000, and there is NO WORKAROUND. Despite Ryzen 3000 having launched half a year ago, and with the new BIOS available on MSI website since July 2019, Amazon is still selling these old boards that are on god knows when BIOS. Better to get it locally, at least there is still local support to assist with the BIOS flash if required. Its a $170 paperweight now until Amazon accepts the refund/assists with the BIOS update.

Easy to install, good value, pairs with XPG NVME M.2 and XPG 3200Mhz RAM
Simple and quick to install into CPU Tower, dedicated M.2 NVME port and SATA ports, blazingly fast boot times with NNVME device and compatible RAM. BIOS/CMOS is simple and advanced to sensing legacy devices with bridge adapters. This MOBO handled the OC timings when I set speed of CPU and RAM, AUTO Tuned every other aspect required. That feature is a plus. The software and drivers provided on CD, basic on the fly manual adjustments and sensing interfacing software - unable to set an Over Clock script for which programs and apps need the extra boot in speed and power.

mini ITX AMD board
PROs - looks good and has wi-fi. Great price. Would recommend. Can overclock. great bios.Cons - AMD stock cooler has an overhang that covers either the ram or hits a plastic shield you'll need to remove.I/O shield didn't fit on entirely properly to the mobo. The GPU doesn't fit entirely properly. The CPU socketholder is flimsy so be very careful.

Great motherboard for my R5 3600!
I wanted a good reliable B450 board that I could do a USB BIOS flashback to make it compatible with the Ryzen 3000 series. Additionally, I wanted onboard wifi/BT support. This board (Carbon A/C) was pretty much the best fit for my need, and was reasonably priced (didn't want to pay x470/x570 prices for my mobo).Flashing the BIOS went without issues, and everything was compatible when I installed the whole system. Memory was recognized and XMPed without needing to fiddle with advanced settings (16GB 2x8 3200MHz). One thing though - you need to update the drivers to get the wifi/BT to work. Once that was done, it worked as expected. Range is pretty good.

A pleasure to build with
Paired this with a x2600 and corsair 3200 kit and working flawlessly. Nice RGB lights on motherboard also this board has a corsair RGB header so if you want to run the fancy LL fans or addressable strings its built right into this board and controllable with MSI mystic light. i used a basic 12v phanteks RGB strip just to add some color, also worked perfectly.ALL around great board, strong for overclocking and most of the X470 features but at a lower price. Make sure to check MSI qualified vendor list for your ram compatibility as the rumor is ryzen can be fussy with some ram kits.

Very Impressed
This is my first MSI motherboard, and I am very impressed so far. Installation was easy, as I confirmed my case was ATX. Moving from an ASUS MB to an MSI MB meant many of the connectors on the MB were listed differently, but the user manual that comes with the MB was extremely easy to read, and I was able to get everything connected without issue. My existing graphics card (GTX 660) slotted in nicely, and has a much better locking mechanism than my old MB.I think my favorite feature is the suite of apps that come with the board. The App Manager keeps them all in one easy to find place, and the Live Updater allowed me to get the latest drivers for the board without issue.
