Is there some time when voltage adaptors DO work?

This is a dual voltage hairdryer. You can switch it from 125 to 250 and I tested the hairdryer at home in the US and it worked fine with two speeds. When I switched the voltage in Paris it worked fine and I didn't need an additional adapter other than the adapter for the wall outle . My only issue with this product was it only worked on the "high" setting in Paris. Hope this helps.

What is the length of the nozzle from the front across the top to the vent in the back? I am looking for shorter than I have now. Thanks!

It is 5.5" front to back and 7.5" top to bottom of the plastic handle; however, the more relevant measurement top to bottom is that it is 10" from the top to the bottom of the rigid cord holder that sticks out below the bottom of the handle; with the handle folded it is 5" x 8" x 3" not including the attached cord and large plug

Will this work in New Zealand without a voltage converter?

Yes, it will work just fine. We have actually just returned from New Zealand to Kiribati where we are serving as volunteer teachers. You will need an adapter but not a voltage converter in New Zealand.
