Really shouldn't have waited!!
I've had this for a little under 24 hrs. Normally I don't review anything in the first month or so because of wear tests etc. But this product has already changed my life!! I'm a 24 yr old student with genetically 'short muscles' and the best study neck, anterior pelvic tilt and inflexibility you have seen. Osteopaths, physiotherapists and massage therapists LOVE me. I've had severe back issues for the better part of 10 years and recently I had a rib go out of alignment from tight muscles due to stress and study. After much more stretching and some osteopathic treatment, I decided that my fear of the "hurt so good" reviews and horror stories from my friends, I'd give a cheap foam roller a try. After a few pinterest deep-dives and youtube tutorials, I started easy but on my problem areas. I did my thoracic/upper back and started on a bed to give my a bit more 'give' until I knew I could handle the pain. I love the smoother texture, especially as a beginner, but I carefully rolled over my upper back and the release was almost immediate. Next I did my thighs (have to admit, touch more painful) and my calves, each individually due to the length. Lets give this a quick breakdown: PROs - simple and cheap for beginners - not textured but does the job (not going from 0 - 100) - foam does have a bit more give than the PVC hollow ones - small enough to isolate particular muscles/limbs so you can support yourself with the rest of your body. - releases muscle tension while providing support CONs - the length, in my view is a pro and con. I can do my entire shoulder area in one swoop, but instead I can focus on niche areas. Overall, I LOVE this roller. I've been studying/procrastinating all day and got up to my hip-flexors having a mild freak out (super tense). 2 minutes on the roller releasing my iliopsoas and thoracic muscles and I'm good to go! PSA - If you're considering a foam roller, I would definitely make sure you can hold your own body weight in a plank for 10-15 sec, even just on your knees. When doing leg work, you really do need your arm supporting your upper body. I have a high pain threshold, and I would put this as probably a 3-5/10. You can definitely feel it but you can adjust how much weight you're putting on there and therefore can reduce it if its too much. Hope this helps!

Good quality
Good quality, light weight, long length. And the material is hard enough to massage (I prefer hard instead of cushion material that can not give enough support

Cost effective
Sturdy, inexpensive and does the job.

Expensive for what it is.
The high density foam is very sturdy but being so solid makes it uncomfortable to use. Whilst sturdy, it is still expensive for compressed styrofoam. Doubt the styrofoam will handle wear and tear well.

Does the job
It's what you expect from an Amazon Basics product; it does the job with little cost. It has been good for stretching out my tight thigh muscles, and it just sits in the corner of my room, making it very easy to use.
