Anova Culinary Sous Vide Precision Cooker Nano 2.0

Not suitable for use in the UK. Even after paying another £25 for a step-down transformer, it didn’t work reliably. Returned.

Instructions read and followed. Turned product on and it worked for minute or two then turned off. Now won't turn on again. Outside of return period so money wasted. Looks like it was a voltage issue which should have been flagged somewhere in the write-up/instructions. Can't be used in the UK without a converter of some kind I think. Not really sure given no instructions!

Have now gone through two anova sous vide appliances. Pumps broke on both randomly. You can't take them apart to have any hope of fixing. They will last you a few years if you are lucky.

Remember that is using a lot of energy to cook somenthing that at the end is not tastier or healthier. The recipe book is very limited and most of them are from customers experimenting. You are better of with a probe for your steak than waiting hours to end it in a sauce pan.

Most people would assume that an electrical item bought in the UK would be suitable for use here - but it isn’t, despite Amazon quoting a large number of positive reviews which are presumably not from the UK, nor Europe. I returned this item for refund, but was charged £12 for postage as the seller said I should have noticed that the specification said it was 120 volts, even if it wasn’t very prominent. I also had to call a premium number to arrange the return, and that added another £2.24 to my penalty. Amazon should show much more prominently if products are not suitable for use in the UK - particularly if they don’t meet UK safety standards.

I should have looked carefully at the reviews. This item is for 110V not the 220V standard in the UK, and comes with a US plug instead of a UK plug. I have no idea why Amazon is allowing this item to be sold in the UK as it's clearly not fit for purpose. I am now returning this item and purchasing the model designed to work in the UK

It comes with US plug. You would expect to receive it with UK or at least EU plug but they couldn’t be bothered 👎

Easy to use and works amazingly

Es mi primer termocirculador y cumplió mis expectativas. Fácil de usar. Se puede programar desde la aplicación o desde el aparato. La aplicación tiende a querer vender la versión de paga pero se puede ignorar.

Used it several times and it makes meat come out juicy as it should. Works well and easy to use. On a personal note, next time I would have bought a wifi version versus the Bluetooth one for the range and convenience.

This is a great product that makes sous vide fool proof. Set your temp and your time, pop in your sealed food and walk away. 7 hours later I pulled out a perfectly med rare tritip and seared it on the barbeque. Melting tender and flavorful. Easy cleanup. Tucked away for next time. Same deal with a salmon filet. No over cooking anything again. Venison is always a challenge to make both tender and juicy rather than tough and dry. Sous vide made it easy. A leg roast at 131 degrees for 8 hours produced a roast as tender as any beef roast. The temp is even and reliable. I use it in a special sous vide container but its hanger would let me use it on any deep stock pot as well. It's a great product for cooking in hot weather too since temps are so low. It's also much safer around kids than hot ovens or boiling water. Let's you cook slowly overnight as well when summer temps drop. And you can control with your phone remotely. I love it.
