Doumbek goat skin head, clean 14 inch goatskin round from Pakistan

Perfect for my 10 inch doumbek. I made the mistake of buying a 12 inch skin the first time I tried to replace the head. It was not big enough and slipped off the drum soon after it was mounted.I found the basics for mounting these heads on the internet (of course). My drum has two metal rings that are like bands. They clamp together with screws, the bottom ring anchors the top ring which tightens the head. There is a third small round ring that the skin needed to be wrapped around before it was stretched over the drum. This little ring is what provides something for the top ring to push down onto the drum. The important thing I learned is that you must soak the head in water to soften it. Then be really careful not to rip it. These are really thin heads, not like a thick djembe head. Great to have a working doumbek

not perfectly off-white, had blemishes that seem may not care for but the finished look was great. I bought this for a 10" drum head but it was snug. i would buy with it with at least 3" on all sides (say, a 16" for a 10" drum head) in the future, but we did actually make this work, it just was a little harder. But the instructions we followed from videos on the internet showed us easily how to change the broken head on our djembe. In the future, though, we would have had new rope available, instead of trying to use the old. But it is an easy job all told.

I started to give the seller a try and the pieces, all came out good. Good and gently shaved, cleen and no dents or dings! shipped a little bit late than the promiossed date.
