5 Second Nail Repair Kit

The past couple of winters my thumb nail has cracked vertically from tip toward the bottom of the nail. Last year, it took several months to regrow. This year, I got this nail repair kit and managed to stop the crack before it became too long. It took a couple of months for my nail to grow out past the initial crack, but this kit helped keep the nail intact while doing so.The kit contains a tube of superglue with an additional extra long tip. The extra tip just got in the way because there's no way to close the lid of the glue with the tip on. I ended up tossing it because the tip that comes on the bottle of glue is small enough; a bottle of extra fine, powder-like sand; and a file.On clean nails, you add a drop of glue and spread it over the cracked area. Next, sprinkle the sand on the glue while it's still wet. Then follow-up with another drop of glue. Lastly, sand it down. I found that a glass nail file works better at sanding it down to a nice smooth level with the nail.This saved two nails for me this year. Now, I won't be without it.

The glue really sticks to the surface of the nail as no other product does. I have tried before using crazy glue on my nails, but it did not work. My nails have always been very fragile, no matter how much I care for them. This last time, though, one of them was badly broken. I could not even cut it without cutting my skin. Really bad. I ordered this product, arrived immediately (Prime member) and it lasted like 5 days. Then I reapplied it again and it is holding my nail perfectly, allowing it to grow. Since the product did not have reviews, I was hesitant, but this is a very good product. It does not smell bad, and after you apply the glue there is like very soft kind of sand to sprinkle over it. I think it makes the glue stick harder to the nail. Then, you can polish it with a piece of sandpaper that is also included. I did not use the sand the second time, but it is better if you use it. Very easy to apply, lasts long enough for your nails to grow. Great product!

I have a split in my right thumbnail. I caught it on something and it split down into the nail bed. I applied this glue, added the sand-like material, and then coated the nail with the glue. I then used the enclosed applicator to smooth it, and then filed and polished it with a Flash Shiner Nail Buffer (which I also bought at Amazon). It did the job well. I do not use nail polish. My thumbnail looks as if I just had it manicured. It is strong. When putting on a necklace, I had been having trouble with the clasp because my thumbnail bent. The nail is now strong enough to do this without problem. I will reapply as necessary until the nail grows out.

I wanted to use this product on a split thumbnail.I was concerned how hard this would be to use, however the directions were clear and simple and the application was surprising very easy.It’s already stayed on a week so far! Great product!

This product works very well.

Clean the damaged nail. Apply a tiny amt. of glue to the damaged nail area, then sprinkle the mending powder over the glue. Let it dry, and smooth the rough edges and peaks with the back of a very fine nail file. Proceed with your manicure! It works, it's easy and it lasts a good week or more. This repair kit is a part of my nail care basket!
