Unlike anything you’ve ever tried before
The media could not be loaded. This is a very unique chocolate bar. Do note that despite its color it is actually white chocolate that gets it’s color from activated charcoal. With that being said, it still has a deep, rich and toasty flavor from the barley. Everyone that has tried it has been pleasantly surprised. It is pricy but the packaging is nice and I plan to buy more for gifts.

Amazing chocolate bars and customer service!
We recently had a chocolate tasting event at my work, where we tried this chocolate bar, among others. I have to say, I've never tasted something so amazing and truly unique. This quickly became my absolute favorite chocolate bar.Quickly following that, I placed an order for two sets of two bars (4 bars total). Unfortunately, I only received two bars in my package and emailed the seller. They responded the same day offering to send me the missing bars along with a gift, or refund me the money.I appreciate the swift response, and will definitely be ordering from them again!

Addicted
I love this chocolate. My neice brought it back from a trip through the reykjavik airport as a gift. I have turned at least 4 other people onto it who are also addicted! Surprisingly different and buttery.

Not what I expected
Expensive, and not what Americans are accustom to, but if you like novelty flavors they're good. This flavor for sure is an acquired taste, more like coffee and licorice with little to no chocolate taste.

Very, very, very sweet
I debated between giving this 1 star or 3 stars, and finally settled on 3 as it was entirely my fault.I did not realize that this was white chocolate. It's solid black from the charcoal, and the description of the tasting notes made me hopeful that the intriguing burnt barley would work perfectly with dark chocolate to create those flavor profiles. I had only glanced at the ingredients briefly before ordering it, as I have been on the hunt for something "new".Of course, if I had scrutinized those ingredients, it would have been obvious that it was white chocolate. The actual packaging starts the ingredient list with "White Chocolate:" thus denoting exactly what you are getting. So imagine my immediate disgust when, upon opening this bar of pitch-black chocolate that smells enticingly of burnt barley, I take a bite and get nothing but the waxy, butter-like sweetness of white chocolate, further sweetened by the burnt barley until it tastes like nothing but cheap sugar. I had been in disbelief and checked the ingredients list, only to realize the error that I made.Still, I don't want to entirely slam it. It has a unique flavor profile, and had I known it was white chocolate before biting into it my reaction may not have been as visceral. However, my review is more to lament what could have been. The caramel notes of the burnt barley would have been truly special in a dark chocolate bar, and without any sort of hint of chocolate to blend with those flavors this ends up being a little too sweet and a little less memorable. I would love to try this in a dark chocolate profile, however, so I will keep an eye out and see if anyone else is using burnt barley.

Love it!
My new favorite chocolate. This is a really interesting flavor combination. The white chicolate and barley results in a rich, smooth, and malty flavor and is not too sweet like most white chocolate. Definitely worth it.

ABSOLUTELY HORRID TASTING!
Ok, we love chocolate! We buy imported dark chocolate from all over the world ( 70-85 %) and were anxious to try this version. OMNOM dark chocolate is much different than anything i've ever tried. It was an ODD taste. (not pleasant) + the burnt barley pieces added another dimension of unpleasant flavor in the mouth. It reminds me of anis but stronger + burnt toast flavor. It was so bad I actually spit it out in a napkin! Normally we love to try new brands of chocolate bars and powders and are up for unique blends and styles. (Some of our faves include: 85% dark - cinnamon, lemon, orange, and sea salt) Im sorry to say.... My husband and I did not care for this brand and we wished they offered returns - what a WASTE OF MONEY!

Seriously, perhaps the best chocolate bar I have tasted
Seriously, perhaps the best chocolate bar I have tasted. This bar has a mouth feel and flavor like no other. Do not be put off by the word burnt. To me, it tastes deep dark and delicious and the barley has a nice crunch. The only downside is that this bar is rather expensive in the United States. I am planning a trip to Iceland next March and I plan to stock up with this and other Omnom bars. Unique chocolate of the best quality. Five stars.
