THIRD PURCHASE, Here's my experience...Trust worthy company...
I have purchased this exact tin three times. The "Sunrise" model. I have made each purchase from the seller Booyee, even though there are others sellers of the same tin here on Amazon. Booyee offers the tin with 20 magnetic FULL pans. I like to use full pans, because I think they are more gentle on my valuable brushes. I use these tins for my growing collection of Daniel Smith paints. So, the three tins and the pans loaded with high quality paints are a prized possession. The first tin I purchased came in perfect condition and I was tickled fuchsia. When I outgrew that tin, I ordered to accommodate my new paints. That tin was dented and I've a diva. I wrote to Booyee and he refunded my purchase and allowed me to keep the tin. Okay, I'm sold. Good customer service gains my trust. When I again outgrew that tin, I purchased the third of the same pattern. When this tin arrived, it was wrapped in bubble wrap and inside a manilla envelope. Well protected. I appreciate what Booyee has done here. I like a business that sees an opportunity for improvement and acts upon that opportunity. Don't you?Select the tin you like and feel confident making this purchase. I'm sure you'll also feel confident traveling with your prized possessions in tow.I used a handy Sharpie to mark one edge, so I know which way to open the tin and, although magnetized, don't spill my paints onto the floor. I line up the edges when done painting. I thought it was a good idea and might be nice to share.

Love these tins
I love these tins. I have 3 and will likely order more. I prefer porcelain mixing surfaces, so I don’t need mixing space in my palette. I love how small and slim they are, I love the magnets attached to the pans, and I love being able to easily reorganize my palette whenever I want. Plus they are just pretty.

I personally love, but I can see it not working for everyone.
I am the type of person that likes to hoard a bunch of different types of palettes for my watercolors. Honestly, it really is because I wanted to find something compact yet big enough to hold all my colors without taking up too much space. Most palettes I find are connected by a spring or have wells that make the palette bulky. I personally like to have my paints separate from my mixing palette so I wanted to find something that literally just fit my paints and thats it.This product was basically perfect for me. I was hesitant in buying a tin for $12 when I been using a $1 altoids mint tin box but it was exactly what I wanted it for. It is also a plus that it comes with empty pans with already glued on magnets to help ease the process. When closed the tin is pretty sturdy since the paints and empty pans inside fit in it perfectly. Although when the pieces are apart (lid off) I do feel wary about its sturdiness. Keep in mind that it can bend very easily when it is taken apart (lid off) so I can see it getting damaged in someone's bag or dropping it.Overall, the palette is perfect for me and gets the job done. I literally used to buy random palettes and boxes to make a more convenient palette that I would like and when that didn't work out I would buy another one. This is the first time I bought a palette and been so content with it that I haven't purchased another palette since.P.S. Just in case anyone was wondering the sticker on my palette is made by an artist named @maruti_bitamin on instagram.

Cute. Tiny. Nice to Have.
So when I bought this I expected it to be bigger but like a lot of us do I didn't pay close attention to the dimensions. It's basically travel sized and about the size of a Samsung Galaxy Plus but fits well in the side pocket of my art back with no issues. The picture is cute. The paint cartridges come out so if you order more of those you can interchange them with other pre-made colors. Overall it gets the job done, I'll definitely be getting larger inserts since I use larger canvases and want to premix my colors to meet that size capacity, I can't do this rn without mixing the color and pouring it into 6 cartridges.

Custom palettes for cheap
I have a large number of tube watercolor paints from nearly a dozen brands. Some of them I use in custom made palettes for a range of popular color hues (blues, greens, yellows, etc.) and some for my favorite brands like M. Graham and Mission Gold. Plus, I like to have all of them in separate palettes so I keep track of all the possibilities. Watercolor paint is so wonderful to have so many options. They can be used in tiny amounts for a very long time. So, I searched for the cheapest way to distribute my paints in these particular ways. This empty paint tin with "half pans" is excellent. Only one of my paint collections is too big for it (Holbein 60) but the rest are just fine.I also ordered a sheet of stick-on magnets to apply to the bottoms of those tiny "half pans" so that they would stay put when I opened the tin. The stick is vexatious for them because some of them pop off. Use mounting tape in the bottom of it and put the pans on in a more lessMany of the tins available are too rounded on the corners to fit the pans efficiently but the Booyee is the best of the lot. All things considered, this is a great option.

Beautiful scene wrecked by dent
Sadly, although in padded envelope, there is a dent in the lid as shown on my photo.New to painting so wanted a pretty case, paid extra £10 against plain one, but wished I hadn't bothered
