AMIGO6920 "The Great Dalmuti Cardgame

This game is a lot of fun for the whole family. Simple and easy to learn. This game only requires cards, so it's easy to bring out and play in family/friend gatherings, even when everyone is tired from the day's activities. Worth the money.It's not the full rules, but the basic gameplay is as follows: The game consists of twelve 12s, eleven 11s, ten 10s, and so forth. There are two jesters (wild cards). The first person to start the game plays any quantity of cards of the same number down. The second person to play then plays the same quantity of cards played by the first player, but of a lower card number. The game continues in that manner. If a player can't play the same quantity of cards of a lower number than the previous player, or simply chooses not to play, they can "pass". Once a player passes, they can't play again for that round. Once no one else can play on that round, the last player to play cards "wins" that round and the pile of cards is moved out of play. The player who "won" the last round then gets to go first on the next round and therefore chooses the quantity and number of cards that this new round will begin with. The first person to get rid of all their cards wins. The game continues until all players have no more cards. The person to get rid of their cards first will go first in the next game, and the second player to get rid of their cards goes second, etc. It's easiest if the players switch seats so the game play always flows in a clockwise rotation. There are a few other rules to this game, but that is the majority of the game play.

Great card game! Note this deck is in German - I didn’t pay attention when I ordered, but we got a laugh out of it! As we already knew how to play, we kept the game and have enjoyed it many times! Fast delivery, excellent product.

Superior quality compared to the Avalon Hill version. I've own a couple packs of the AH version of this game and the cards wear out quickly as they are very cheaply made and are worse than a normal deck of cards. The box is also flimsy and will wear out quickly too. The German-made version is exactly the same mechanics and set of cards, just in a different language. But the cards are like a normal deck of cards and will last so much longer than the AH version. The box is also hardier and easier to store the deck of cards in, than the AH version. If you know the game, just get this deck. Otherwise, buy the AH version or find rules online, then get this deck.

This is a relatively easy game that is just fun with a larger group. You don't spend forever waiting on other players. It moves quickly and entertains. Good for our annual family get-togethers at holidays.

Friends of ours suggested this fun card game and I purchased it for my husband's Christmas stocking. Unfortunately the instructions (and box) were in German. We looked online and found instructions, including videos. But we visited our friends and they showed us how to play! It was fun with the four of us but apparently is much more fun with more people

This game was a lot of fun to play. It’s a game that you get up and move to a different spot around the table each round.

Actually I didn’t expect the card was wrote only German lol But I think that’s not a problem when we would be playing Dalmuti. I wanna play this soon!!!!

There was nothing in the title or description saying this was a German version. Although looking at the pictures I can now see it was German. Seller needs to make this clearer.The deck of cards seems to be of reasonable quality.

Eine plastikfreie Verpackung ist eine tolle Sache. Leider sitzt das Papiersiegel so fest, dass ich beim Ablösen die Schachtel beschädigt habe. Dennoch - das Spiel ist sehr unterhaltsam.

Great simple game but highly addictive and fun for all ages. It is a special pack of cards - there is one 1, two 2s, three 3s, all the way up to twelve 12s and 2 jesters. You must play the same number of cards as the person before you but of a lower number. So whoever holds the low numbers is powerful, but they have less power cards. Whoever gets rid of their wins the round and becomes "the Great Dalmuti", the winner, you then establish an order of who gets out next down to who is left at the end - the Greater Peon (the scum). The loser must then give their best 2 cards to the Great Dalmuti the winner on the next round and everyone sits in order of where they came. The aim is to knock the Great Dalmuti off their perch - hard to do as they have the best cards and get to go first on the next round. Really fun. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the Great Dalmuti comes up with forfeit for losing for the Greater Peon (the scum). Amazing!
