Cadets Parade Shoes. Oxford Capped Suitable for ATC, Army CCF Etc

Smart looking, reasonably well made.Description says 'leather lining' but the ones supplied to me definitely has a man-made lining that was made to look like leather (the reverse side of the thin lining material that covered most of the inside had a woven, fabric texture -see photo).The outer leather is fairly thin which makes it lighter, softer and comfortable to wear but this makes it wrinkle easily with use (see photo). I bought this shoe for school use and also to test-see if it would be suitable for cadets; it's great for school but I wouldn't recommend for cadets because of the thinner leather. Any hard work spent bulling up may disappoint when it wrinkles with use and so spoil the gloss.After four days use the sole looks a bit more worn than I'd expect and has become a bit slippery (as another reviewer remarked upon).Quite pleased with it as a smart, school shoe and with the price, though I will need to keep an eye on how quickly it wears with use to determine whether it represents value for money.Disappointed with not having the leather lining as described and that I will need to look for a sturdier shoe for cadets.

Nice shoes but not for air cadets. They didn't shine even after hours and hours of polishing. I didn't realise that it is because they are not hard toed. Need a mirror shine for air cadets. Good quality and nice shoes.

These are a great value shoe, assuming they last. They were a good fit and comfy for my son from the off. However, they STINK! I don't know where they were made or what processes they went through, but they smell like diesel mixed with creosote. Within 24 hours they had stunk the ground floor of my house out and they now live in my garage where they overpower the smell of the car and 10 days in there is no sign of the smell abating. My son returned from Air Cadets last night and had to take his socks off as they stank too.I am going to have to run them through the washing machine if thing don't improve. I'll check back here and update.

Worn them for the first time today, walked for 15minutes this morning and could feel one foot cutting just by my big toe, by the time I got to work both small toes were blistering. I bought blister plasters today and am now sitting here with iodine on the wounds. Probably ok if you have feet like chippolatas

Better than last pair I bought from a different seller. Cushioned top at the back of the heel is great. Feel stronger and better made than last pair which fell apart at the heel and sole. As a PO in the Sea Cadets I feel happy to commend this pair of parade shoes.

I bought these and then didn't have time to break them in. I was worried any destroying my feet parading through the City of London during the Lord Mayor's Show on the Saturday followed by two remembrance day parades on the Sunday. No problems at all. Really comfy shoes and great customer service

Cheap shoes made in india of low quality with a huge chip out of one heel. Mine had polish/oil inside shoe and they stink. Also, they look second hand as if someone had been wearing them. Don't buy these, they are rubbish.

Ordered for my son for Air Cadets. He is very happy with them. He has quite wide feet so I was worried but they seem to fit him fine and they are the correct shoes and far cheaper than buying them from the site recommended by Air Cadets.
