OP/TECH USA Soft Camera and Rangefinder pouch (Black): Premium Neoprene Protection

My Leica Q2 has a thumb support and hand grip which make the case too tight to properly close. I also had to remove the lens cap. Wish it were a little bit larger to accommodate my accessories. The larger neoprene case made for DSLR cameras is too large with about 2" of space in the nose and an inch all around.

I bought this so that I could feel better about throwing my Leica M-P 240 into a sling or backpack. I could see this definitely mitigating minor scratches and dents to the body, however for shock protection you would probably want to get a padded case or something. Like I said, fits my model rangefinder great with a 35mm Voigtlander Nokton Lens attached with about 1/2" to spare in the front in the shorter case. There's a little strap that is sewn into the interior of the case with a little metal button on it so that you can hang the pouch from your lens when you take it off, but I will cut that off as the metal button could possibly scratch the surface or glass of the camera - but no big deal. The bag is closed using 2 buttons instead of velcro which I prefer because usually the velcro gets covered in lint, hair, sand, or other debris. For this case $25 vs. the $89 for the Leica branded neoprene case made a lot more sense.

Looking for a pouch to hold the Leica Q2 while going out without carrying the camera bag. This pouch is exactly what I want. It's a little bit tight for Q2 with hood and half case on, but the closure buttons still can be locked with a bit stretchy. The camera doesn't move at all inside the pouch, which it's good. So I can put it to a regular bag or backpack when needed.I think if the OP/Tech can use velcro closure to replace the buttons should make this pouch more flexible. Again, this is a great pouch for the tight fit to Leica Q2.Update:After using it for few months, the bottom stitching started breaking apart, I attempted to email OP/TECH support for help, Frank responded to me timely and asked me to send it back with instructions for checking. He responded to me the next day after he received the defective pouch, detailing his findings, and shipped a brand new replacement right away. What a GREAT customer service! They really stand behind their products at all times! They deserve double 5 stars!

On my recent vacation I didn't want to carry an actual camera bag. I use a small sling bag for walking around, and this soft pouch let me toss (gently) my Fuji X100T right into the sling bag. Much less conspicuous and still convenient. This pouch fits the X100T perfectly even with the filter adapter and lens hood in place -- it's a little loose without the lens hood installed so if your camera is smaller than mine you might want a smaller pouch (OP/TECH USA makes about a zillion models; one will fit...).There's very little actual structure to this; it's great protection for the camera inside another bag or from banging around on the strap, but its very floppiness makes it a bit of a challenge to get onto the camera. Maybe I just haven't found the right technique yet. No big deal though.The only thing I actually don't like about this is inside the center of the pouch is a short strap that's intended to snap around your camera's strap so you can remove the camera from the pouch and let the pouch hang from your camera strap (they also include adapters for attaching the pouch strap to your lens barrel or to the tripod mount). Since this pouch strap is quite short, using the camera with the pouch hanging from the camera strap sometimes becomes a bit of a juggling act to keep the pouch out of the way. It's a great idea -- I just think it would work better if the pouch strap was a few inches longer.Overall though, it's a home run for what I wanted.

Unfortunately this was a bit too tight for my Leica Q, otherwise I think it could be a good camera cover if you're looking for something simple and easy to take on/off.

Very good quality, build, materials, etc. However, this is the rangefinder model but is too big for a Leica M3 with 50 Summicron. The lens portion would fit a bigger/wider lens much better. So if you use a small lens, this is too big. It will fit a summilux or 90mm lens much better. The body part of the pouch fits the M3 perfectly however.

I don't have much use for the rubber ring, designed to fit around the lens and allow the case to dangle when shooting, because I just don't want it in my way. But I do like the fact that there is also a snap that can screw into the tripod mount of the camera, which can then allow the case to dangle from the bottom of the camera. This was a surprise, and seems like it might be more useful, especially on a camera with interchangeable lenses.A little fiddly getting it on and off, but it seems like it would also work with an even larger lens, or perhaps with the hood, as indicated by other reviewers.I'm also happy to see that unlike some of their straps and harnesses I've bought in the past, OP/TECH chose not to use any leather bits on this case, which will make it less attractive to my dogs.

I bought this to carry my Olympus Pen-F with a wrist strap when I'm traveling, but I just want to carry it around with a single lens instead of my entire camera bag. It fits nicely with my pancake zoom lens, as well as the 25mm or 45mm Olympus primes. It's very high-quality strongly stitched neoprene, and I love the feature of having it screw into the tripod mount so I don't drop it when I'm using the camera. A truly excellent accessory for my camera!

I have used Optech camera pouches before with my Pentax K-5 SLR. I bought this one for my new Leica M9. It fits nicely when the camera is fitted with a 35mm or 50mm lens.It makes the camera more anonymous than an own brand case and gives good protection though it is not waterproof. When the camera is in use it is easy to remove the pouch, roll it up and carry in a pocket.A good product

l'ho comprata per riporre una M6 nello zaino senza preoccuparmi troppo. la chiusura è intelligente a che se non eccessivamente agevole, probabilmente anche colpa dell'handgrip che monto sulla mia macchina, ma se non si deve fare debtro/fuori in continuazione è perfetta ela custodia protegge a dovere.

anche con esposimetro aggiunto sulla slitta del flash è perfetto. CONSIGLIO!!!
