Heavy & thick gauge pan, heats uniformly & quickly & has excellent heat retention.The lid fits well & holds in the moisture, so cooking times are reduced & flavours are retained.

Food sticks quite easily and the gloss disappears after a few washing. If this is truly non-toxic then at least that part is good. If you're planning to fry fish on this then I wish you good luck.It is however, slick, small and useful to fry/cook various other things and the handle is made in a way so that your hands do not get burnt.

Best quality product by Hawkins. It's easy to clean, sturdy and durable. Looks very premium. Though it's not a nonstick item, food doesn't stick to the pan and metal ladles can be used with it which is a great advantage of this product. It also comes with a stainless steel lid. Hawkins also provides a 5year guaranty on its products, but the buyer have to register the product within 15 days of purchase in the company's website with the guaranty card number provided with the product. More over I love this product and recommend to buy.

Food does tend to get burnt and stick to pan.Its hard anodized but not thick enough.Same problem with 2 other futura items i bought.Not buying any more.

It would be a JOKE to comment on the durability and value for money of this product or for that matter any of the Hawkins Futura products, especially sold on Amazon.in. I live in London and have been blessed with the Amazon.uk site. Never did I realize that just changing countries, the brand looses its Values and Ethics. Anyway, I ordered this and 3 other Hawkins Futura products from Amazon.in during my recent visit to India. Considering the so-called brand, they were expensive but, I wanted quality so decided to go ahead with the purchase. After coming back to London and on opening and using the package of these 4 items, did I realize how bad in quality were they. There was a white powder coating on all 4, the minute they were washed that powder would stick on to hands and not to mention go in the food cooked. I immediately clicked pictures and sent it to Amazon.in guys and their response was a Shock for Me. They say please contact the manufacturer. So the only work left for me is to call the manufacturer from London. I wrote innumerable emails but, no response and the Amazon guys sure have some great staff who kept sending me Cut Copy Paste standard emails. Am disgusted with this whole episode but am writing here only to WARN the lovely people of India to not use this service and rather buy stuff from another site.

I am satisfied with the quality of the product and no qualms at all.It definitely is not a replacement of non-stick cookware as I had veguely thought. However, I wanted to do away with the risk of using non-stick cookware and hence moved onto this. Given a choice, I recommend using steel vessel over hard anodised.You have to cook at the lowest flame as a mandate and ensure that the vessel is oiled enough so that the food doesnt stick. If you cook at high flame the food gets stuck to the vessel and its a daunting task to scrub it off. However, not as daunting as cleaning up a steel vessel.I would recommend this vessel over usual steel utensils only if you want to save gas. Food cooks slightly faster and more uniformly than steel utensils. Otherwise I don't see a strong reason to purchase this vessel.

Whatever u cook , sticks on to the product :( Cannot return as i have opened n used it once !
