This does the job well at keeping my dog contained to one room while contractors are coming in and out of the house. She loves being in the dining room because she can still see everyone and watch the yard through the huge picture window, but there's no door between the dining room and living room to keep her from running out the front door. This gate works great to block her in. The 5 wooden feet that go on the bottom help stabilize the whole thing. We really didn't need the gate panel to open and close, but it does operate smoothly. If you remove the feet (which just lift on and off freely), the whole thing folds flat for storage, folding like a paper fan.The only downside to it is the hinges to connect each panel all had to be installed with a screwdriver. The drill just strips the screws. There's 4 screws for each hinge, and 2 hinges in between each set of panels. It was tedious and tiring to install them all, even with all of the holes pre-drilled and actually lined up correctly. The end result is definitely a sturdy product, buy it would've been great to have the hinges pre-installed. Since the whole thing does fold flat with the hinges attached, they could've assembled it prior to packing it for shipping. However, for the price point, it was a good value, even unassembled. I would buy it again.

Lightweight and well made. Most appropriate for smaller dogs. We use it to block off a stairway and is just what we needed.

As an under $20 item, this would get 5 stars. It works, it looks nice out of the box. I don't expect it will hold up for a long time since its so light. I think it can be damaged easily and I think the paint will be chipping.For what I'm using it for, (to barricade my porch while outside with dogs) it serves its purpose. If you have dogs that jump on the gate, this is not going to work without securing it to something. My dogs are mannered in such a way that they Naturally stand back from it and don't even try to touch it. But for $40 I will replace it with some sturdier material when the time comes.

New Puppy- perfect to keep him out of certain rooms as we train him on being home friendly. Very easy to use and folds for different size doorways and to use on our porch as we get him acclimated to his new surroundings.Highly recommend, good quality and value.

My cat used to be a stray and has been with us for a couple years. She's mostly a tame little lion but she does get a little too close for comfort near the front door when we are coming in, especially trying to handle groceries/big mail/etc. I've warned her there is no snacks or furry toys to play with if she really wants to be outside. This fence has been a great barrier between the hallway and front door. It's easy to fold up completely if we need to, and it's nice that one gate-side can fold in or open when we are walking through. I'm not sure how well the gate would work with a bigger dog, but with her, it's lightweight and not too tall, so it works great for us.

This fence requires assembling with 4 hinges and 26 screws. It’s not hard but require an electric drill — would be a pain without this. Looks okay but materials feel on the cheap side. Not with the cost but so far does the job. We’ll see how long it holds together with two dogs

I initially started to return this because I did not think it was sturdy enough. However, if you put it in a doorway and use that to support it, it works just fine. It does not have support legs, but for the price, it is a good deal. I use it for my puppy to keep her out of areas when I do not want her underfoot, so the portability and light weight of this gate is perfect! It’s made out of sturdy painted wood. She has not attempted to chew it at all. And she loves to chew!!

Purchased this to use on stairs to deter puppy from going upstairs. I like that it is lightweight but I would also describe it as flimsy. I would not suggest it to be used as a trustworthy freestanding gate while puppy roams the house when you leave for a few hours. It would work very well without supervision if you make sure the ends of the gate sits between stair balusters. I'd say best introduced when the puppy is very young - ours respect barriers and does not try to throw it down. I like that it comes in dark brown because it goes well in the dark wood corner of my kitchen stairs. I utilize it with supervision - since putting it up, I find that it reduces yelling at the kids to grab the puppy, or yelling at the puppy to stop trying to get upstairs while I'm trying to throw dinner together after a long day.

We have a senior dog and need to keep her out of certain rooms. I have two of these gates and they are so easy to just put up or fold up when we are home and they aren't needed. The look very nice and are so much better than the boxes we were using to block her out.

This is our second wooden gate for our 3 small dogs. This is a great product, we recommend

I have a small but clever 6 pound toy poodle mix and he never fails to escape into places around the house he should not be in. I bought this gate the first time for the top of the staircase, leading down to the front door and it has been extremely useful to keep him from running down the stairs. Recently my family got a new carpet and he loves to dig around and bite it so I purchased a second one. It's really helpful and it's the perfect size for him. However, it is a little short so if you're looking for a wide, long gate you should be careful when measuring. I measured the length and width of the areas I planned to use it in and it's extremely accurate. He is small and thankfully he does not try to fight the gate that much where he always escapes. However, if he was bigger he would probably knock it down. It's very lightweight and easy to carry around. Super happy with this gate.

This simple gate is very lightweight and quick to place. I would not use it at the top of the stairs because it is light, but to block access to a room, or at the bottom of the stairs it works very well.. I have purchased more, I like it so much

I’m really like the gate :):) I ordered a second one (shortly afterwards) for my friend to use at her home when my poodle visits. It’s light weight to carry. The paint has a sheen to it making it smooth on the hands when handling it.I bought a different style a few years ago from Amazon that was designed to fit into the doorway frame - it had to be manually adjusted to fit - it was always awkward to get a “tight seal”. It had a built-in gate which added to its heaviness to pick up and carry. It had alot of vertical slats which added to a bulky overall look.
