My Scooter Review-Part 2
We've been hit with a spate of hot weather so the scooter has not gotten the use that we expected.1. We had a lot of "fun" (note the sarcasm) putting the scooter together. We got two bags of parts and one page of instructions, Had we not had access to Youtube, we'd still be still be sitting there wondering what goes next.BTW the Youtube video could have been a lot better. It was weak in the area of mounting the tires and particularly in adjusting the brakes. We ended taking the scooter down to a local bike shot to get the brakes adjusted correctly. The bike manager commented on the brakes, saying that we'd be back to have them replaced.2.The sheet metal was flimsy and should have been of a lot better quality for the price (of the scooter).3. We were missing several minor parts and you should have either Home Depot or Lowes' on hand for the METRIC parts. I searched high and low for suitable bolts and nuts in my basement stash to no avail . Then we tried HD and of course they had the missing parts. If you have to go to one of the big stores, better bring the part that you're missing just to be certain that the new part is the right one.4. But overall the scooter was good-to-go after the above 3 issues. The have a Youtube video on line and you will definitely need it.Be sure to clamp (another that you should either have in your toolbox or get from a well equipped hardware store. I had several clamps but none the right size. And you don't want to try assembling the scooter without it being clamped down to a table.Part 2:2/3/2021The scooter has sat in our garage since we bought it. Scooter is too heavy to get on/off our truck, so it sits in the garage collecting dust.

Wrong/missing parts
Took to bike shop for assembly and the brakes are wrong and a tire is the wrong size. I’m going to have to pay additional fees to bike shop to make the scooter rideable and safe.

Not worth it! Keep looking
Could have been an awesome product buuuuuuuut because- NO assembly instructions came with the scooter or the bag of jumbled hardware,- the frame arrived slightly bent (which made it incredibly difficult to assemble and some parts never fit on),- the plastic coating was split in two places on the brake lines that arrived already attached to part of the frame so I had to deal with them,- I had an alarming HANDFUL of extra hardware that is still unidentified after the scooter seems to be assembled,- the kickstand is ineffectively weak (the scooter falls over EVERY time sometimes taking the dog with it),- the two parts of the attachment that the dog hitches to doesn't stay together,- and I fear for my life when I'm going downhill because the brakes are 50% effective,I will NOT recommend this product.

Not safe no parts horrible company
Horrible product horrible company. They are advertising the wrong kind of brake. Advertising disc brakes but came with drum brakes (very different brake and not the kind of brake you want). It’s like they don’t know the difference between these two kind of brakes. If you look at their site you will see a description of disc brakes as well as a picture. Then you will see a picture of drum brakes. Came with almost no parts. Welds were horrible. Damage upon arrival. I sent emails immediately of course. Company would respond randomly but quite literally were not addressing any problems I stated. They were of no use. I ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company (thanks discover!) It took a lot of time and effort to get the necessary information. They finally admitted in an e-mail they don’t sell those kind of brakes anymore, but it took weeks to get that email. I likely would not have won the dispute has that not made that admission, as these kinds of disputes are difficult to prove. The company never dealt with the damage issues, or addressed any issues for that matter while I was waiting and working on this dispute (despite me calling and emailing). Don’t buy this thing. If you really want a good quality scooter, go to dog powered scooter.com. I ended up getting one and they are awesome. Very well made and built by an engineer who will help you through everything, and is highly ethical, unlike the owners at Cove products K9 kennel. Yes you will pay more. However the cove scooter will only cost you in the long run. Stay away from this company. Save yourself the headache.

PRODUCT FAILURE
I purchased the joring scooter for my Husky. The scooter came damaged, parts missing, paint chipped all over, and the wheel cover dented everywhere. After putting it together we could not get the brakes to work so we brought it to the bike shop. After they checked it out they told us there was extensive damage and to the frame and wouldn’t be able to fix it. Great concept, but not this particular one.

Poor quality
Had one of these come into my bike shop. One of the most frustrating products I've ever had to put together. Poorly speced and half assedly assembled and shipped. Please do not buy this.
