Xiem Tools, Trimming Tool, XST19-10132

It’s small, like a pencil. But I used it today to trim some small bowls, and it’s awesome. Previously, I was using a DoAll, but this tool is sharper, more precise, and easier to use. I kind of wish it only had the tool at one end. That would make it easier to stand it up in a cup of other tools, and the non-tool end would be more comfortable in my hand while using it. It’s the best trimming tool I’ve ever used.

Well made, very sharp. It would be more useful if the two ends were not identical shapes.

super sharp double ended trimming tool - I've so far tried it on b-mix with grog and it works great but I don't know how fast the blade will dull so I think it'll work even better for porcelain when it's super sharp because of how smooth porcelain is.

This tool is not comfortable to work with. Unfortunately, I missed the window to return this by 1 day... :( The handle is too short for my hand (I would consider my hand to be about average). When I trim pieces, the sharp edge of the other blade digs into my hand making it very uncomfortable and not very safe in my opinion. The handle should be a bit longer and ergonomics could be further improved if the handle was slightly thicker. The blades are super sharp and cut well in the clay which is why I gave the tool a second star.

VERY SHARP. Smaller than expected, hard to use as both sides are super sharp. Keep band aids handy.

I never knew how good a well made tool felt in your hands. I've only ever used my beginner tools- I want more!

In the product photo there should be some other common item for size reference (pencil, stack oh quartetrs...etc). The tool is surprisingly small. BUT it is amazingly sharp and versitile... thought it would be larger. A friend was going to buy a different shape until we looked at the tool I received.. Made in USA. Xiem... make a big one and you'll get 6 stars from me
