Great Tuner
This is my first external auto tuner so I do not have anything to compare it to. So far, I'm really happy with it. Its capable of more than I thought. It does seem to tune better than the built in tuner in my Yaesu 991 & 450d. I paired it with a quad 5 export radio and it does great with it. I believe it will even tune a clothes line. We will see how it holds up.... Great tuner.... Try it.......

The EASY way to tune up!
Works perfectly and was easy to "install". Using it with ICOM-7300 and the appropriate ICOM cable. Matter of just plugging it in and getting out of the way! Tunes automatically as needed when the PTT is pressed. Highly recommend it!

It straight up just works period!
As you can see in the picture the MFJ-929 is an integral part of my amateur radio station. Yes, the transceiver does have it's own antenna tuner but the MFJ tuner covers more bases than the built-in one does.

Recieved a used unit. Evident by paint on the wire and face
Tuner works well, Amazon seller sold me a used unit. Paint marks were on the wire and face of the unit and there was no manual in the box.

Can tune anything, good product
Better than antenna tuner on the radio, that thing can protect your output finals from blowing up.I can tune a 160 meters frequencies with a 40 meter endfed antenna. Not too much power out but my finals are safe.

This is an EXCELLENT tuner.I have seen YouTube reviews that say the buttons stick and other issues but mine has absolutely no problems. Everything works smoothly as it should and it is so easy to operate.There are options for automatic, semiautomatic and manual tuning, different display mode options, 2 coax antenna inputs and a single wire input,So far I have been using it to tune an 80 metre wire dipole, a 40 metre wire dipole and a 20 metre Yagi and it tunes up everything 1:1 from one end of each band to the other, every time.I have also tuned the dipoles to other bands with less than 1.5:1 SWR.I think it may even tune a barbed wire fence!
