Wanting jumbo weight 7----- this is not it. Weights 5 or 6. Lots of scarfs, hats, gloves, mittens, necklaces, collars, pouf, jewelry, sachets, capelet, shawls, cowls, artwork, window valance, lampshade, vest , clutch, purse, tote, throw, pillow. Interesting. Might be better with more interesting yarn choices.

Chunky knits is an excellent book! I love all of the beautiful patterns, especially the honeycomb throw! It is so soft and warm. It also presents a great way to use all of that accumulated heavy-weight yarn, that's been squirreled away for a rainy day. This book has a really eclectic collection of patterns, from your standards (hats, gloves, shawls, throws, etc.) to some more unique ones, like an ottoman, a wall hanging, and a mason jar cozy. I would definitely recommend this book to others, and I would buy it again. In fact, I've even bought another copy as a gift for my mom.

There are several projects I will make either for myself or as gifts. The joy of chunky yarn is that it works up quickly. I showed the book to several friends who each said they will but the book too. The projects are a wide range of items from hats and gloves to shawls and pillows.

I'm knitting a blanket for a soon to arrive granddaughter, using one of the patterns in this book. The patterns are easy to understand, and not difficult. I look forward to using more of them. I would definitely recommend this pattern book! 😉

A group of us from a local yarn shop purchased this book. I planned on knitting the Melegrana Capelet. The cast on was wrong along with the border pattern. I tried to work through it with the owner of the LYS. I got so frustrated that I gave up. Three other patterns the group attempted to knit also had problems in lengths and sizes. There wasn't any problem with the Boot Cuffs. We are done with this book. I contacted the publisher to let them know that their proof reader fell down on the job. She then wanted me to do their job by asking me for other inputs. What the heck I found there errors now it's time for them to do their job and really proof read the book.

I love this book. I have already knit two of the patterns and I love them. Clearly written patterns. I like that the patterns use more common yarn, some how that makes them all seem less intimidating/more accessible. There are a lot of patterns in this book that I look forward to casting on in the new year.
