Darwin's Finches - Charley Harper Lithograph

This charming illustration is one of my favorite pieces by Charley Harper. There are tiny scratch marks on two of the birds which must be on the original art since they appear on all three prints that I bought, as well as on the calendar print.The prints came carefully packaged and included certificates of authenticity. I wish they offered larger versions of my other favorites. For now, I put the postcards in fridge frames and have my own little Charley Harper gallery.

This piece brought together two of my favorite things: Charley Harper and Charles Darwin. I originally purchased this lithograph for my boyfriend as a birthday gift just after he returned from a trip to the Galapagos, but I liked the piece too much and kept it for myself! It is a beautiful piece and the size allows it to be hung anywhere.

I love this lithograph. Fabulous example of CH's work and such a great topic for a Biologist's Home. My only complaint, I wish it was larger!
