There are cheep seed starters but you have to pay a lot of attention to them to not get mold make sure water is correct ect. This I just put my plugs in to baskets (Not included) drop seeds or cuttings with root hormone in one weekend and come back the next and take out and plant while setting a another round of seeds or cuttings. (top off water) I also bought QINIZX 50 Pack 1.77" Garden Net Pots Cups they fit snug and let you use any starter you like. And use COLMO Seed Starter Smart Seeds Starting Plugs Tried rockwool but it clogged the heads so don't use that any more. (Too much cleaning) The system works great with these additions.

day three and they never even wilted no humidity dome or anything special this thing works better than i thought it would edit: day 5 still no wilt and root sites starting to form this this works so well i let the fan run all the time and 15 on 15 off for the pump with clonex gel and solution with 3 drops of superthrive. update ok after 2 weeks minimal root groth BUT this is not an issue caused by the machine it was my bad intresting note on day 9 i changed the water out and just replaced it with tap water and the root sites started growing most of my root growth happened after the water change so nest round im going to try out strait water and see what happens

I used this cloner and had great success cloning heirloom rose plants that i was unable to reproduce any other way. Had a good success rate and it was my first time ever cloning anything. Im excited to try the peppers and tomatoes in the garden to make more garden plants for free. Its a cool machine. The fan in it is the real reason for such success. I've been using this cloner every month or so for SIX years and haven't had any issues. The pump is contaminated and needs to be replaced but I'll get to that. I bought this unit because of the cooling feature. When I put it together, I was very skeptical. I expected the fan to direct air across the surface of the reservoir fluid to encourage evaporation or to cool a heat sink on the side of the reservoir. Neither. The fan blows against the plastic side of the reservoir. I ran the unit with the fan running fo0r a day and then off for a day. Steady ambient temperature. 2 degrees F warmer with the fan running, which makes sense. I put the fan, its power supply and the mounting cowel in a draw and have not used them since. If your cloner fluid is running warmer than ambient temperature, get a cycle timer that will run the pump for 15 seconds or so and then off for 30. This doesn't slow rooting but it does reduce heat from the pump. I've replaced the pump (after 6 years) because I can no longer get it sterile. Bacterial contamination is what makes cloners stop working. My cleaning procedure is to fill the reservoir with 3% H2O2 and run it for a day or two. Then, with rubber gloves on, I rinse all of the neoprene inserts in the H2O2, being careful to get it in the cuts. Then I wash everything with soap and water and let it completely air dry before reuse. I'll be removing the back plate on the new pump. That looks like the most likely place bacteria are hiding to escape the H2O2 treatment.

I absolutely love it! it's well made and works great! I use plain water from the sink with a Lil rapid start, I get great roots every time without even trying, the dome is not necessary for my situation bc the whole room is good heat and humidity! I recommend this to anyone, I usually have nice roots in less than 14 days maximum and then I plant into my living soil, takes a few days to adjust then explosive growth! over all very happy

The instructions are limited- if you want pro advice you have to look up Maryjuana websites, which I am one of the rare people that doesn't propagate pot. You will not have success if the water gets too hot, so if you live in an extremely hot climate like I do- this is not the product for you. I have had this machine, around 1.5 months and had to consult with a horticulturist for a grow dispensary on what I was doing wrong- basically, it's just too hot and I don't have a climate controlled enough area to use this machine successfully, since it is rarely under 80 degrees indoors 4 months out of the year. Had there been more detailed instructions, like you need to buy an expensive time to help regulate the temp and other things- I would not have made this expensive purchase. The vendor will not allow me to return the item either.

Even though I minored in physics as an undergraduate student, I failed to apply a basic understanding of thermodynamics and purchased this cloner with a useless fan. The fan can only cool the water if the ambient temperature is lower than that of the water. If the air is warmer than the water, you are actually warming the water. Otherwise, this machine seems no better or worse than any other. If you need to cool your cloaner or hydroponic water, build a copper coil cloner cooler. Make a copper tube coil 5-10 coils (like a spring) small enough to fit under the water. Attach the ends to vinyl tubing and to a submersible pump. Put the pump in a cooler full of ice water. Pump the ice-water through the coil to cool the cloner water. Plug the pump into a dual temp heating-mat thermostat to cycle the pump to maintain set water temperature. Trying to use air to cool water is extremely inefficient, and in most cases, not even possible. A fan on a cloner is actually nothing more than a gimmick. There are likely better and cheaper cloner choices, but depending on air temp, be prepared to otherwise somehow cool the water of any cloner you are considering. A fan won't cut it.

I rarely take the time to write a positive review, but this product makes me happy. It does exactly what you want it to do, and quickly. Just add cloning gel, cloning solution and fresh cut plant clippings. Come back in two weeks and you're ready to transplant into soil. Pretty sure this is powered by magic. Buy one. It will make you happy too.

100% success rate on my first attempt. Just make sure you use a rooting gel and a rooting solution for the water. I used CloneX for the stems and Gold Label Nutrients ROOTS to mix in to the water. I did get the clear dome lid included, others said it wasn't included but they did with mine however it doesn't fit too snug, there's about 1.5" gap so you will need to spray the plants 3x a day, I just used bottled water for that. I did have to pay duty shipping to Canada, hoped I was going to save a little money from the other seller who has some within Canada but luckily the duty wasn't too much so was still about the same price as other sellers within Canada. The result are very astonishing! It takes maybe 7-8 days to start rooting but once it starts, it's crazy! The little fan also help the temperature inside. I would 100% recommend. All my 19 babies rooted perfectly! And as for me, i could have never taken this big of a branches if it wasn't because of this machine.

Don't buy the 79 dollar one and think it will work, Learn from my mistake go big or go home. The spray from this is 1500 times more than the cheap one. Root development within 7 to 13 days

unpacked set it up.. and it leaks from the studs that hold fan shroud .. $250 need to be repaired just to use from new.. stupid system with the studs, more leak points I sent it back, they got it, they resold it for $91.00 it was on their add, and retook the $250 back out of my account. I called Visa and reported them for fraud.. WoW i got my money back.. hows that profits going ,hahaha $375 now for leaking product with poor design
